Brake Fan activation

Recommended Posts

Cheerio

F/O activates Brake Fan before takeoff and before landing. Why does this happen. A32NX Experimental Build. Wheel temps are fine. Also strange is that the brake fan button is not illuminated when the F/O does this. But Ecam cleary says its on.

Are you using Voice or Button Control?

I'm looking at the code as I write this.

Brake Fan On/Off is a voice command only.

Only time FO will turn it off on his own is during the final part of his shutdown flow.

That's why I suspect it was just a false voice command detection.

Can you reproduce it every time?

i will launch the sim now and try it.

Thanks, and please use the PTT key, not open mic mode.

And keep an eye on the "last detected speech" section of the panel so you can see what the systems "hears".

Same here voice control. BRK fans on when takeoff and landing.

Max

Please do the same thing as Twitch so we can isolate if it's just a false voice detection, or if maybe even the FBW aircraft itself is turning it on automatically somehow.

Thanks,

yes, happened again after F/O puts gear down and then replies with gear down. immediately after that the brake fans are active. no other command in the "Speech box" visible. is this maybe an issue with the experimental build?

I don't use the Experimental version.  I only use the Development version.

Please do this:

Turn off FS2Crew.  Exit it.  That's way it's not running.

Go up into the air and drop the gear and see if the Brake Fan does the same thing.
