August 31, 20214 yr Apologies if this has already been raised - had a quick look and couldn't see anything 🙂 Lionheart have released their Quickie Q200 for MSFS today. I don't know if links to Simmarket are permitted on AVSIM but it's right there on the first page of the MSFS section 👍 Anyone took a punt with this one? I love the Quickie Q200 in real life.... but I bought Lionheart's TB-21 and was extremely unimpressed with it, so feeling cautious. September 1, 20214 yr I couldn't let the evening pass without seeing this one bumped, because my initial impression is that this is a really fun little plane. I've only had time to read the manual and do a couple circuits in it, and need to get to bed soon or I'd share some pictures and/or video -- maybe tomorrow, if someone else hasn't filled the gap already. But in short: outstanding exterior, very nice interiors -- which have been a weak point for Lionheart in the past -- though they might be just a little too clean for some, many interior and exterior variations plus the ability to customize both your tail number and the registration on the panel, unusual systems, a couple fun little bells and whistles, takes off like a bolt and responds really quickly. (I've been flying the C170 most recently, which isn't exactly a rapid responder, so I had to retune my reflexes pretty dang quick to keep the right side up. 😂) I still bristle a bit at having the dude's religion shoved in my face while I'm reading the manual for the plane I just bought, but you at least know that's what you're getting into with this developer. (Or you do if you've bought anything from him in the past, and if you haven't, now you do.) But on the whole, on the basis of an hour or so of flying, I'm not regretting the cash I dropped on it. More detailed thoughts to come tomorrow if I have time to fling it around the sky some more. If this one didn't catch your eye for some reason, at least give it a second look. Yes, this narks me too. Although at least he always leaves it until the last page, so it's easily skipped if preferred! It's not that I'm anti-anything. I just don't like people pushing their personal (and irrelevent) agendas, in a flight sim product. That's a great initial viewpoint on it @kaosfere - thank you! It looked to me that this one was a big step up from the TB-21. I agree about the clean textures - that and the developer's use of some questionable 70s sci-fi fonts on the switches seems to be a common theme. 🙂 I'm hoping we'll see some YouTube vids soon. It's certainly a fun little plane, and very fast for a O-200 engine. 👍 Edited September 1, 20214 yr by JYW Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK

It's a quirky alternate-reality kind of plane, so some quirky alternate-reality fonts here and there don't look too out of place. 🙂 I didn't mention it last night, but the bespoke autopilot is kinda neat, too. It's a completely custom implementation which obviously had some work put into it, and I haven't put it through its paces yet but it seems like it could be really useful for taking just a little bit of load of the pilot at complex times.

It's a completely custom implementation which obviously had some work put into it I noticed (and appreciated) that too. It's nice to have something different, and it looks convincing for the types of cheap, uncertified APs that I've used many times in LSAs (or Microlights as we call them in the UK). A friend of mine got an AP similar to this from Trio Avionics, in his Evektor - £2400 ($2850) fitted! Got to love experimentals! I appreciate the dev including this, as even in light experimentals like this, APs are becoming so prevalent (and cheap). And it's a nice change to something like Carenado, where 90% of aircraft come with the same stock STEC 55 or KAP140. 🙂 Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK
September 1, 20214 yr I had a look at their website. The panel is to cartoonish to my liking. Just like the Husky. Maybe a great flyer but I'll pass. I9-14900K, Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD
