September 3, 20214 yr The FO does not confirm a new AP setting. Is that on purpose, am I doing something wrong or is this a bug or not implemented yet? Normal procedure would go like this: Pilot: "Set Heading 180" FO should replied: "Heading 180 set" like he does with flaps, gear and other procedures. He sets the heading correct, but does not reply with any confirmation. Thanks for any clarification! Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
September 3, 20214 yr Commercial Member For autopilot commands what matters is the FMA / PFD. The thinking is even if you move the knob on the FCU, it's not "real" unless it's actually seen on the PFD/FMA... because that's what the airplane actually "sees" and acts on. Same logic with the gear and flaps. You're the Pilot Flying, it's your job to read the FMA. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
