  1. Great, thanks, when I checked it wasn't....
  2. I have been using it since it first came out! Awesome, simple 'plug-in'. I highly recommend it! Hope the author will update it for the 319/321.
  3. Yes, you need to install the FSTL models or AIG.
  4. I had the same issue, the culprit was A320 Immersion from parallel 42, which introduced major pauses and stutters...... Uninstalled it and problem solved. As other said, it is most likely an add on that causes the issue and not Fenix.
  5. This post is about CPDLC working with SayIntensions, not with Vatsim or IVAO. The developers need to implement a small fix to have it work with all of us who use SayIntensions.
  6. Tearing has to do with vsync settings. It has nothing to do with how powerful your PC is. Try vsync on and 50% or 100%. Try vsync in Nvidia control panel and in msfs settings off and vice-versa. It also has to do with the frequ. your monitor operates in, the general rule is to have vsync set close to you monitors frequ. or to half of it. Do some research on vsync.
  7. I am by no means an uninstall expert, but if you go via Settings>Apps>uninstall it should wipe everything clean... Then look into user/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.Flightsimulator...funny numbers+letters if you find anything or if there is anything left I do not remember having to do anything unusual when I reinstalled msfs a while back... But it is Microsoft - you will never know..... Good luck!
  8. I would contact them on their discord server. You might get a much better responds there... (via their website).
  9. Update worked fine for me.
  10. I shall use it the Fenix!
  11. https://github.com/derekhe/msfs2020-map-enhancement/releases latest works great choosing 'latest Bing maps'.
  12. But still no live weather, correct? It is a real shame, if that is the case. A flight sim without real weather????
  13. AS is the best purchase for MSFS I even made beside the Fenix A320. In my opinion far better in cloud variation, cloud layers and overall depiction. Transitions are NOT visible with the right settings. My 2 cents.
  14. It was announces at FSExpo that Flightcontrol Replay will be part of FS2024. It has Fly-By already for FS2020 (beta), but it is $20. Don't know if it will have tower views...
  15. Yap, I thought about that too, it is 60% of the cost of the Fenix itself, pretty steep....
  16. Thanks guys for all your input, much appreciated!
  17. Would appreciate any feedback on the A320 Immersion by Parallel 42 released last week! 1. Any large impact on the frame rates when effects are visible? 2. Are the effects scalable? Can the user decide when those effects appear? Wing vortex are always on in clouds or only at certain humidity? Any feedback would be appreciated! Cheers.
  18. With all the new partners it is a huge disappointment that HIFI Simulation is not one of them. I can not understand why they are so reluctant, almost stubborn to put more emphasis on weather, which after all, is a major part of flight simulation. They seem to make a lot of right decisions. I really, really hope weather will get a huge upgrade in 2024.....
  19. I might sound like an word not allowed, but why don't you try the difference for yourself and see what works best for YOUR machine and YOUR eyes. DX12 is a newer 'technology', but that does not mean it will benefit you on older cards.
  20. The speed of AI advancements is mind blowing. Can you imagine what will be possible in 5 years?
  21. Make sure you run BATC as admin, otherwise it will not connect to the simulator.
  22. I purchased Active Sky today, honestly being very skeptical, since it is a preset based weather engine (thanks MS for not opening up the API.....) If nothing else I wanted to support HIFI, because during FS9 days it was my reliable go-to weather engine, that I used for years with much enjoyment (remember 2D clouds?). A bit of a background. I have a home cockpit, a A320 cockpit build to scale 80% done. Running the Fenix. The two front views are running on two different PC, on two copies of msfs connected via network. I did a flight from CYYC to KMSP, I picked this route, because it pretty much had cloud cover all the way. That resulted in having Active Sky running on the left (main view) and default msfs live weather running on the right view. I know, not perfect, but it gave me a clear impression of the difference. And the difference is huge just looking at the clouds. For the first time ever I saw cloud depiction, that I have never ever seen before in a sim ever! Yes, finally not always the boring, same dramatic looking cumulus clouds that I have been complaining about for years and that belong into a game, not into a simulator! Having the comparison right in front of my eyes during the 2 hour plus flight was amazing! Even during cruise and overcast skies, things changed, sometimes there where cirrus clouds, sometimes haze 50 miles out above the overcast. Things I have seen during real flights over the years as well... Descending into KMSP METAR called for three layers of clouds with a breakout at 6500 feet. On the Active Sky view I had those three distinct layers, all with different depictions and light, in the msfs view three layers where kind of bunched together, you guessed it, in the same boring looking cumulus clouds. What an amazing difference! In the real world there are 16 different cloud types. MS has one, AS at least 5, but that is just after a short test. Shame on you MS. Clouds are one thing. But winds and turbulences are another. With AS the air feels alive. When you hit a cloud or a cloud layer, you can 'feel' the light chop or a more distinct raddle. I did not experience any sudden wind shift, everything felt very realistic. I did have one frame rate drop during cruise with some haze above the overcast, but I can not say 100% it was an AS issue. Now I have to figure out how to run AS over network, or just buy a second copy. Beside the Fenix, Active Sky is the best MSFS add-on I have purchased. Weather is such an important part of flying and MS ought to get their act together for 2024 or just hire HIFI. One recommendation is to have a trial version of AS. People who will try it will buy it! Period.
  23. Had the same thing happen. Weird glitch....
  24. It is in the changelog as fixed.
