Hi All, Finally got my P3D install right where I like it (for now :-) ) and was very impressed by the mood ASN and REX were providing me so I started snapping shots. Here are the few that really stood out from the bunch. Enjoy! Mike The great wall of cloud

Getting ready to depart Shreveport Regional (WG's MRO base), bound for their main hub at Southwest Florida International airport. There's 5 tons of ballast up front to keep things in shape. (FSX NOTAM: Sky Sim's MD-11 aircraft manager currently only has input fields for the PAX versions, but you still see the %MAC displayed when you alter payload and fuel via FSX's menu.) Turning on to course. She's quite nippy with minimal payload and fuel! Bye, bye Shreveport. Climbing up to cruise altitude. Feet wet over the Gulf of Mexico. Descending towards KRSW. First touchdown on a wet runway: Yes, she bounced... However, no drama after that. :) Taxiing in. (FSX NOTAM: Shame there's no rain on the windows - the wiper switches are functional, but full screen FSX doesn't do raindrops, I believe.) Not sure where we'll be going to - I'll have to check the roster and the flightplans & get back to you. . Enjoy.

How do I set the OpusFSI update window from opening up on top of everything every few seconds? The weather update setting is every 60 minutes and METAR Import file every 3600 seconds. Windows 7, P3D, Aerosoft A320. Rex 4 texture direct. Would OpusFSI have any effect of why the picture is very grainy on landing at EGPH if the rain is heavy, or is that a Rex 4 problem? Thanks John

Howdee all, Another day, another random departure/arrival kind of flight. Today we moved our operations East and departed from KLGA off runway 04 and unbeknownst to me, I dialed in an initial heading of 030 and flew along for a while then though, "hmmmm...going to need a place to land" so on the FMC I randomly entered in our arrival airport of CYQB and once finished tweaking my legs, I was happy to see I was pretty much on course. I didn't take any shots departing the New York area but will capture some on the next flight out. Enjoy the shots! Mike PS - I don't get around to it enough (but I'm trying to change that!!) and I just wanted to take a second to say this. To everyone who takes the time to share the screen captures from their flights and to everyone who takes the time to post a comment up on mine, thank you! We are a great community.

So I picked up REX4 Texture direct and its a great addon - I just have one question. I did the sky replacement (I forget which one Ill have to check) and Im doing a flight at 11:49p EST out of JFK and...the sky looks like dawn/dusk. Id imagine it should just be a dark sky at this timeframe but out in the distance in what appears to be North there is a nice orange to bluish purple fade. Looks fantastic if it were dawn and if this were the east but what happened to my night sky? -Chris

Hi All, A week-end spent trying to reduce the popcorn cloud visuals in P3D and I think I've run out of juice. With all the test flights I took today in various aircraft as I was tweaking, this one stuck out from the rest for some reason. Climbing through FL220 heading towards KSEA. Enjoy! Mike

Evening folks, Been putting P3D though its paces and finally started adding in some payware aircraft. The Majestic Q400 and Aerosoft's latest v1.21 Airbus package (A318/A319/A320/A321) both work flawlessly so far but I haven't really gone too far down the test path just yet Here they are! Enjoy... **DISCLAIMER** This screen shot had a little post processing touch-up work done in PhotoShop CC. Added a lens flare to the landing light and some dodge/burn to the clouds and ground. The actual shot in P3D wasn't that far off!

Iceland (Orbx Global with REX4 and PTA) P3D3.4 The title has just remined me of a chocolate syrup we put on ice cream when I was a kid. It set hard and crisp with the cold, and I want some right now

Hi All, Took up a couple of beauties into the P3D skies around dusk for some fun flying. I know there are many folks right now on the fence deciding if making the switch to P3D from FSX/FS9 is worth while and I can honestly say, once you've got your sliders set to give the best performance/visuals, sticking with P3D will be an easy decision. The days of cracking open the .cfg file to wring that last ounce of performance are behind me and I've been having more fun playing "pin the tail on the sectional" and finding some places to fly out of/into. Enjoy the screenshots and whatever your sim platform of choice is, post up your shots and share your story!! Mike Aerosoft Airbus A319 in Spirit "Bare Fare" colors (not that you can see it so trust me "Blasting" out of KOTH (Northbend, OR) ...well, as much as a Q400 can blast out. Stock P3D water shot. Not the best but you get a good idea what P3D can offer "out of the box". Climb thrust set; making our way to KEUG (Eugene, OR) Yep, this right here is what you call a left turn. Executed "like a boss" (props to SNL) OK, I'm not ashamed to say it....I missed all the final approach fixes for runway 34R at KEUG so here I am making my way back to the initial fix to get lined up for landing. Gear coming down and shortly, a successful end to a great day of fun flying. My "lead FA" called me for dinner. Happy wife...happy life!!

Hi all, Happy New Year to all the fine folks who call these forums home! Purchased P3D v2.4 the week before Christmas and while I'm still troubleshooting some cloud "issues", P3D is knocking my socks off so far. I gave up in frustration the first day I had it installed due to poor frame rates and stutters and uninstalled everything. After a couple of days I decided to re-install but this time took things one step at a time and now I'm getting great performance in bad weather and the great thing is, the p3d.cfg file is basically stock, out of the box minus the tweaks P3D has up on their Learning Center page. Without further ado...

This A2A Cessna 182 is a beast; quick, gets in and out anywhere, hauls a good load... I love it! From my hometown airport, CZVL to KPSP with a fuel stop along the way. A VFR flight, that got a little cloudy and rainy as we got to Palm Springs. Made it in though!! P3D does amaze me. It's quite the step up from FSX! Clouds starting to drop a bit now... Descending to try and stay legal! Sun going down, and you can see we're way off track, skirting around the mountains trying to stay under the clouds And we did make it down just fine, rolling out on 13L at PSP. Quick stop overnight and off to Wyoming to check out Devil's Tower!

Recently I have purchased and loaded up Active Sky Next, FTX Global and REX4. The scenery is a continuous water world with mountainous seas and waterlogged airports. Where do I go from here? Scrub FSX off my hard drive? Start again and check each program? Cannot get GSX or UAE to work with REX4. Not a happy pilot Oscar de Wyldde

Hi i just baught Rex 4 texture direct, unfortunatly i cant seem to install it. i have looked at guides on how to install it and still no luck. most guides and videos show the folder that is downloaded when rex is purchased is full with numerous files, However the one I downloaded (From the REX store its self) only has "rexfileinstaller_20160815" and "rexinstaller" I'm not sure what is the problem and im hoping that i am not missing any important files. But if I am I am not sure what to do next, Thanks. Update: after a lot of searching i found that changing the drive I install the files to seems to have made it work. Interesting (or im just a touch tired and didnt realise i didnt use the installer correctly)

P3Dv3.3 - PTA - Orbx Global - REX4 with Navid's sky's. I've thought for a long time that X-Plane was, in many ways, the best looking sim, but with PTA that has changed. P3Dv3.3 is now king of the hill IMHO.
