Enjoying the agricultural patchwork @ 10,000 ft. above Colby, Kansas, enroute from Kansas City to Denver.  A big thank you to Bert P. for mentioning the Robt Young Turbo Bonanza in a post a day or two ago.  I had not flown it since perhaps this past March.  Pulled it out of the hangar, serviced it, and had a great flight!

Ahhh Kansas....one of the most boring states to drive through hehe.  Nice pic though.  I do enjoy farmlands - it's the heart of America's food industry.

Funny you should say that.  If driving across Kansas on Interstate 70, on other highways, and if paying attention, you will see a red-tailed hawk, about one per mile, on a dead tree or fence post.  Highly territorial, they watch their highway space for any prey attempting to cross, take flight, and can be a quite spectacular sight as they capture their prey.  Happens often if you pay attention.

Geographic patterns from rivers that have been dammed to create reservoirs for agricultural and civic water supplies also afford some more than interesting views.  And in many areas the vivid circles from one-mile diameter center-pivot irrigation systems creates more interesting patterns.  The further west in Kansas and into eastern Colorado you fly, the greater the density of those circles.

You may be able to discern that I spent 10 years of my career managing agricultural equipment dealer networks across Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma! Many of my hours out of KOJC, KJEF, KOJA , and KRVS over those years provided enjoyment looking at those water and ag patterns.

The modded Turbo Bonanza is one of the best in MSFS, I hear,...glad you're enjoying it, again, Frank...!

And, yes, also a beautiful shot of the agricultural patchwork in KS...🙂...
