September 8, 20214 yr Hey, I just want to say firstly that I'm really enjoyng the software, I'm almost at the point in my flows where I don't even have to look at the info pane for my checklist prompts. Anyway, I noticed a glitch last night within open mic mode, I'm not sure if anybody has noticed it or had the same issue. In the middle of the flight at cruise altitude I noticed the F/O saying "Check" when the headset was lying on the desk without me talking. He then began to repeat the word "check" 4 or 5 times in a row. It was prompted by both an SRS and Flare callout from the Captain but here's the weird part, not only was I not wearing the headset, it was also on mute so it couldn't have been picking up any voice commands or other sounds through the mic. As I said it was prompted only by an SRS (don't know what that is) and Flare callouts. Any ideas what might be causing this? September 8, 20214 yr Commercial Member Glad you like it! And glad you can now do it without using ASSIST to guide you a long 😉 SRS, Flare, etc., are FMA callouts to which the FO/PM would reply 'checked'. Are you sure your mic was on mute? Because if using voice control mode the only thing that can trigger such things are detected speech input. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 9, 20214 yr Author Yeah definitely sure mic was muted. Just finished a flight there and the same bug was happening, to make sure it wasn't a mic issue I unplugged the mic so it didn't even have input. The F/O was still saying "checked" to a Flare callout and also to S R S. September 9, 20214 yr Author Yeah whenever the F/O says "check" - Flare or SRS are in the green bar. I didn't check the CVR log, will do now. September 10, 20214 yr Author Just to clarify, I looked in the AppData/Roaming/FS2Crew log and didn't see anything of note. Is there something I should be looking for? As far as I could see it just showed the boxes I had checked in the options area pre-flight. Thanks. September 10, 20214 yr Commercial Member Sorry, the log is in V1.1, which you wouldn't have yet. I'm going to be releasing a V1.1 public beta likely tomorrow (not 100 percent but likely). In the Info Center in V1.1, you'll be able to see the log directly without having to manually to go AppData. Then we'll see exactly what's happening in your scenario. Best, B. September 21, 20214 yr I had the same Problem. It Recognized "NAV" every few seconds while climbing although I had turned off my Mic. But I think I found the Problem. I have a Logitec webcam that has a Mic and it was still on. FS2Crew used the webcam mic and not the headset mic.
September 21, 20214 yr Commercial Member Ahhh, that would explain it. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
