Just curious, In flight simming, would there be a noticeable difference going from 60hz to a higher refresh rate for simulators in your experience? I’d imagine playing FPS games etc. it would but I only use flight sim and no other gaming.

With the GPU you list it would not be possible since it would be incapable of delivering 120fps. Flight sim is not like games when it comes to frame rates. 30 is perfectly useable and perhaps 40+ when panning around a virtual cockpit.

On the other hand a monitor that can run at 30Hz would be more useful.

Unless your system is capable of greater than 60 fps in flight sim faster refresh will not help.

If you want the ultimate experience for flight simming buy a Gsync monitor. Make sure it is full Gsync with the Gsync hardware - NOT Gsync "compatible".

I'm glad my RX 580 8 gig is adequate enough for good P3D and FSX performance. I'm waiting for XP 12 now. Don't know if it will be up to par for that or not. I would hope Laminar tries to at least beat MSFS on performance.
