October 8, 20214 yr Hi guys Question - is there much performance difference when using a high res textured livery?? I run a modest rig and wondering if I should stay away from the 4k, 8k textures. This might sound stupid but I only run in 1080P as well so wondering what's the crack or if this is a factor Thanks Thomas Derbyshire

October 9, 20214 yr Performancewise this is pretty much a memory thing, so if that's your bottleneck you will run into issues. However, you can always decrease the size of any texture. Cheers Marius
October 9, 20214 yr I actually was wondering the same. And is there an actual recognizable difference visually between 4k and 8k? Additional to that whats the point of a 4k/8k livery when using the virtual cockpit? Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet! October 9, 20214 yr Add me to the why do I need an 8K texture club... I can understand from a paint/screenshot perspective they look great but I'd rather have a 1K texture with better performance than an 8K external texture consuming my memory... Especially if I run at 5120x1440 what is an 8K texture actually getting me other than compressing it to my resolution? Glad someone else asked this one! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
