October 9, 20214 yr Hello all, In the last couple of days, I have been encountering (in VR) two separate images in my headset. I have no idea what is causing them. However, I deleted/moved all my plug ins and sanity was restored. I reinserted them one at a time until they were all back in and fully functional with no double image. I was so happy. The next time I loaded XPlane 11 though, the problem had returned. I have no clues here as yet but I will look at my Log.text to see if that offers any clues. The second problem is that I recently reinstalled my Xplane11 and during the rebuild, I reinstalled my Just Flight Global Traffic. After the installation and reloading XPlane, there was no traffic and in the plugins menu there was no Global traffic. Sort of explains the no traffic I guess but there is no way to activate it nor to set the traffic parameters. As the first problem occurred after the install of Global traffic, I am wondering if the two problems could possible be related. I have sent off a ticket to Just Flight but they are closed over weekend so I cannot expect any help there until Monday. I am just being impatient, I guess, as far as traffic is concerned. Can anyone shed some light on these two issues? Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). October 9, 20214 yr Author MSparks, What is SSAO. I do not have this plug in. At first glance I thought it was SSAL (Skunkworks Updater) This was enable so I disabled it but it had no changes to the double image. The double image is in the Headset not on the screen. These images are overlapped and at probably a 30 degree angle from each other. I have also uninstalled Traffic Global and that made no difference either, so your "probably not" is very correct LOL I am pretty sure it is a plug in that is causing the problem but as I said earlier, moving them all restores the correct VR image, and putting them back in one at a time clears the problem until the next load of XPlane. I do not think that is the problem. I think I may have misled you somehow with what I was doing. Thanks for the thought though LOL Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. If you slide it all the way to the right the settings is HDR+SSAO and VR does that. You want it back one (HDR) If it doesn't look like that video, perhaps describe more what you mean by "two separate images in my headset" - the only way I am aware of that a plugin can cause VR weirdness is if it uses openGL and either crashes or doesn't support VR. October 10, 20214 yr Author MSparks and mjrhealth, Guys, here is an update. I still have no idea what causes the double image in VR. As stated it was two separate but identical images displayed in the headset. These images were joined but angled at some 30 degrees from each other but joined at the middle. I fixed this by disconnecting the link cable and turning the headset off. I then turned the headset back on and reconnected the link. A simple and (should have been) obvious solution. The JustFlight Traffic Global is finally working after some advice from Just Flight. This advice turned out to be superflous because they told me to check that I was in Master mode in Network settings in lieu of external visuals. and also to check that the Traffic Global.xpl file is in the Plugins/Traffic Global/win_x64 folder. Both of these were as advised. I uninstalled and reinstalled three further times and eventually it all came good. I have to say that I was probably doing something wrong with the installs and eventually got it right. SO, all is good again and until after SU6 for MSFS, this is my go to sim. I really do wish we had those graphics though. In the meantime I am really looking forward to number 12, which will not solve the graphics problem but will be a much better platform anyway. Thanks again for your help guys. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked).
