For you and anyone else confused about how to install mods -- or for anyone who wants a simple, one-click method of automatically installing them -- I highly recommend Nathan Vaughn's MSFS Mod Manager. I rarely hear people talk about it, but I love it. There are a bunch of mod managers / addon linkers out there, but to my knowledge none of them have the single-click automatic installation feature that this one does.
