Must do a full stop on arr airport to get UGCX working

Featured Replies

I noticed when I arrived on an airport, making a smooth landing, turn off on the rapid exit taxiway at speed and turn on the main taxiway without a full stop, and try to call the FMC or marshals, the airport map was blank, I must make a full stop on the airport and then call out and the map can be shown.

Also if the airport is even moderately large (like 30+ gates), upon full stop, P3D will freeze for a noticeable few seconds, rather annoying then...

That is correct.  UGCX has to read the scenery of the arrival airport.  No way around that.

There is a config option though to adjust the trigger for the airport reading during arrival.

You can make it so it triggers at a select speed, not necessarily a full stop.

You running the V2.3 public beta?

Thanks, I'm on 2.3beta

I wonder if it could be done more gradually than freeze the sim for few second, I think I'll keep it at full stop for now because I don't want have a freeze when aircraft is still moving then.
