Can the ALT for an airborne start be selected (changed)??

Recommended Posts

It looks like the default is 1500 FT.  Anyone know where we can change that number?  I am attempting to start the ICON A5 on a local lake but, not having any luck so I have been going with an air start near the lake.

Regards,

Ray

Unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible yet.

Have you tried going to Slew Mode as soon as you spawn?

Press Y and use the assigned F-1 and F-3 keys to lower and raise your plane.

This is great work around and does indeed work.  Thanks a million.

If you set both a departure and an arrival, there will be a "NAV LOG" clickspot in the map view. You can go into the nav log to set your cruise altitude, which will also be your starting in air altitude.

This works with using airports for departure and arrival, but, is a bit clumsy with airborne starts.  The SLEW method seems to work better as a workaround. Thanks.

I use it all the time for airborne starts (for testing). I don't set the departure or arrival at an airport, I just click a spot on the map and select it for departure, then click another spot and set it for arrival.
