November 1, 20214 yr A recent flight around and out of YAYE (Ayers Rock | Uluru Airport) in the Quality Wings BAe146 over the Northern Territory Australia. Australia is for one, flat and red in the centre. Lake Amadeus The Olgas | Kata Tjuta in the background. As the Sun sets... November 1, 20214 yr Impressive shots! The BAe 146 is my favourite regiojet She is like a mixture of A340 and ATR 42/72. And best for steep approaches with her airbrake at her tail 😎 Always safe landings 😉
November 5, 20214 yr Author Hey thanks everyone, I've flown in that jet a few times myself between Cairns and Gove back in years past (flights originated in Melbourne). Was working for Rio Tinto performing Oracle database repairs @ Gove which was a very interesting mining town and sleeping in a mining donga - single mans quarters they called it. In the right time of the year their are some amazing thundestorms we skirted, the plane sure felt tiny compared to them.
