This is the solution for addons not showing up in your sim

You're having the issue of addon airports, despite placed in the correct community folder, not showing up in the sim?

Here's the reason why and how to solve it:

I've had this problem, because some addons were in the community folder like this:

"...\Community\troglodytus-airport-lowk-klagenfurt\troglodytus-airport-lowk-klagenfurt"

I've googled like 15 minutes or so to find out why some addons work and others don't and are being shown as "not installed" in the content manager.

Then I tried to move the "lowest" troglodytus-airport-lowk-klagenfurt (the one with the JSON files in it) one level higher and deleted the higher one without the JSON files and it works!

Incorrect:

"...\Community\troglodytus-airport-lowk-klagenfurt (contains no JSON files)\troglodytus-airport-lowk-klagenfurt (with JSON files)"

Correct:

"...\Community\troglodytus-airport-lowk-klagenfurt"

I'm sure many of you already knew this but perhaps I could have helped someone with this 😀

Yes the main folder must have the json file in it, I you use AddOnLinker you will see directly if something is wrong.

Even better... the Addons Linker can work with folders within folders.. 😉
