Hello and welcome to Avsim.  We have a very active MSFS forum here.  Based on your computer spec's, you should have no trouble running MSFS.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

Thanks Stan's. The only thing I forgot to change in the specs was I have 64GB RAM. I have 32GB in my old machine that are going into the new one. It is o ly 9months old and matches the new Ram.

I'm getting the new computer tomorrow so am looking  forward to it. We found that it was my virus program that was preventing MSFS running. Even though I had turned it off. It must have been running something in the background.

I'm looking forward to learning how to fly the small planes properly.

By the way I'm in New Zealand  and a senior citizen.  I've done a lot of travel in the big jets over the years and kind of miss the airports etc. I'm hoping this will give me a sense of the environment.

I think you will have a great time!

Start with the C172, and then quickly, move to the Rob Young Turbo Bonanza with the G1000NXi..

Check the MSFS forum for ideas 🙂

I was thinking the C152. It looks similar to me to learn the basics.  I've flown flight Sims for years. Now I want to fly in a more realistic manner. Start slow and work my way up.
