Are you using an add-on livery with this aircraft?

I sure am...and have many to choose from.  I like a red livery so have been using that. Do you think just a livery can bork instrumentation?

I can try loading up the C172 Amphib with just the Asobo livery and see what happens there....and will.

Absolutely!  Ever since SU5 there have been compatibility issues with some of my add-on liveries.  I've had to set aside about 8 liveries right now that have caused issues - all my other liveries are working fine.

I can tell you that one of the first indicators of a livery issue is failure of the displays.  My screens will be dark or have back-lighting only with no graphics displayed.  As soon as I see that, I dump that livery and switch to another - problem solved.

I'm sure that someone has posted methods to correct issues with some liveries but I just haven't had the time to check this out.

Thanks, Randal!  What you describe is EXACTLY what my two panels look like....so, I will next just fly the Asobo and see if that corrects it. I will report back to you that it had, or hadn't.  I sure hope it is as simple as this...for this is one of my most favorite aircraft.

Well, I tried everything...all suggestions, but no joy.  Something I have downloaded and installed is conflicting with the O.E.M G1000.  Thanks for all suggestions...and I will just bypass this plane for now.  Thanks all.

I suggested that you use Addons Linker to disable all addons and just install the NXi from the content manager to see if it works, but I guess you missed that post. Wanna try that?
