How to perform the flight control chec)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I´m wondering how you guys perform the flight control check during taxi? I mean rudder and ailrons check moves the bus from out of the taxi way!? Is there a "trick" to avoid this and if not it would be nice to have an option to do the flight control check as a part of the after start flow. Many airlines do so irl.

Beste regards,

Holger

I recall there is an option to do the Flight Control check prior to taxi (Flight Control Check Before Taxi (Button Control).

That's really the best way to do it... because the FBW doesn't model a rudder disconnect button... so if the rudder moves in the FBW, so will the plane.

Make sure you're using the latest public beta.  Look at the options on the Settings Panel.

I´m using voice control, hoepfully it works with VC in the same way. Sorry for asking here but there is no PDF to read such things. And yes, I read your statement why there is no PDF anymore 😉

Hi, it's all in the ASSIST panel now.  ASSIST is in the Command Center/Tool Bar panel too.

There's also a mini Button Control tutorial which can help.

I know, but I found nothing according my question there.

However, If I´m right than there is no possibility to do the flight control check before taxi when using voice control, because it comes after the brake check according to the flow. Would be nice to see it as a option to perform it during the after start flow and to be included in the after start checklist.

As Bryan states above, you can call for the flight control check right after the after start check, using voice control.  I do this every flight and it works perfectly.  I do the flight control movements for all surfaces, then the First Officer does his/her movements and continues with the flow.  After taxi begins, I call for brake check and the First Officer responds "pressure zero".

If we are doing the "flight control check" prior to taxi, the callout "flight attendants please prepare for take off" comes immediately after the check. To early in my opinion. Can you move the trigger for this announcement after the "before take off checklist" and prior to "below the line" which happens during taxiing and shortly before take off?
Thanks for considering!

Hi Rene,

If I recall, the "flight attendants please prepare for takeoff" is triggered from the FBW A320NX, and not from FS2Crew A320NX Project.  Notice that its a different voice from FS2Crew.

Not sure if this can be controlled or moved to a different point in the process.  I agree that its in the wrong order of checklists and callouts.

Yes, it's the FBW sound file, but it is triggered by FS2Crew to early - normally you have to press the "ALL" call button in the overhead to get the call triggered without FS2Crew.

We don't trigger the FBW "Cabin Crew Seat...." call.  We can't control it.

We asked FBW if they could add an option to turn it off in their Settings menu, but I'm not sure if they've done that yet.

There is I recall an option in FS2Crew FBW to disable the FS2Crew "Cabin Seats for..." call.

With that option you can avoid any possible redundancy.
