GTN 750 How to install C337 and more

Featured Replies

Hi there,

i bought the RXP GTN 750 Touch instead the f1 gtn 750 complete package.

i have problems to use it in Carenado products like c337, because i cannot integrate this in the panel.

Is there any manual/video which shows "how to do?"

Thanks for your help

greetings

Dieter

Hi Dieter,
You are mostly at the mercy of each of the simulation aircraft developers for support in panel integration, no matter which GPS developers products you use.  For example, the Carenado 337 has its panel designed, by Carenado, to accommodate a Garmin GNS 530.  Carenado includes with the 337 it's on limited variation of a GNS 530, but for FSX and I believe xPlane also provides support for use of the Reality XP GNS 530.  Carenado did not design in it's coding for the 337 a panel to accommodate a Garmin GTN gauge.  Reality XP does not have rights to modify Carenado's coded products.

There are topics here in this forum where users like you and I share our methods for installing RXP GPS models into various aircraft.  Just like the Carenado 337 however, success is mostly dependent on what the simulation aircraft developers provided space for in their models. I highly recommend you backup to the list of topics here in the RXP FSX/P3D GTN forum and scan the list of topics.  The 2nd one from the top, Official Panel Configuration Mods, is one you can read through to gain a better sense of what you can accomplish.  Also, for Carenado products as an example, there is a robust collection of Avsim user-to-user forums for discussions on problem solving and enhancements of Carenado models.  Go to the Forums tab then scroll down into the COMMERCIAL SUPPORT FORUMS area and you will find those.

Not so sure about that... my Carenado C337 has an RXP GNS and an F1 GTN option.

That GTN option also allows an RXP GTN to replace the F1 unit..

I only hope the Carenado 337 for MSFS has similar RXP options for GNS and GTN................  Perhaps that is what is holding that model up! 😵
