After reading my last post I realized that I only kinda-sorta answered your question.

Yes, AIM will allow you to download flight plans, but they aren't usable as such.  You still need to do the things I mentioned above to make them into useful BGL files.

Depending on your level of experience and how much you want to learn about flight plans I would suggest downloading AI Flight Planner.  It takes an even more manual approach to creating flight plans, but it's a really good lesson on how flight plans are constructed. You can even open the downloaded AIM flight plans in it.

yes i agree ai flight planner is awesome. I will stick to it  for now
