November 30, 20214 yr I have always enjoyed excellent performance and this issue has only made itself known since SU-7. Symptom: When panning in the VC or if moving around the VC using the arrow keys, frequently but not always I will see screen tearing and blocky artifacts, very much like the blocky artifacts that show up for landing lights when they go wonky. This occurs while In getting a solid green 60 FPS. Ive made no changes other than SU-7 so it seems related. Anyone else seeing this or something similar? Thanks, -B Edited November 30, 20214 yr by btacon

December 1, 20214 yr Some peeps have apparently had success by turning Vertical Sync from Off --> Fast under the Nvidia Control Panel settings for MSFS 2020. Cheers, 2Low2Slow

Cheers, 2Low2Slow We are noticing that it works for 20 mins then reverts to tearing... seems to be a MSFS issue not NVIDIA.
December 2, 20214 yr Darn... I also experience the problem briefly, then it went away all by itself, only to pop up once again today. Irritated, I cancelled the flight at the gate, and closed the sim. I then did the Vertical Sync tweak, and managed a 90min flight with no tearing. Touch wood 😛 2Low2Slow

Back then the workaround was to set resolution scaling to 100. Then it was sorted in SU6. Then it was brought back in SU7, but this time it's much more widespread and setting res. scale to 100 does not fix it. What worked for me was to do a clean install of the Nvidia drivers. But don't update to the latest 497.09 because it causes CTD. The driver that worked for me was 496.84. However there is another hotfix driver after that one named 496.98, but I have not tried that one with MSFS yet.
