Cockpit camera

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

This may be a silly question but I cannot find a way to move my cockpit view left to right, at present my yoke is to far right (Not aligning with my physical yoke) and I need to move it..

Dave

The left and right arrow keys do it on my machine and you can adjust the speed at which it moves in the camera settings.

Under CAMERA>COCKPIT CAMERA the control actions I think you want to use (bind keys or buttons if not already assigned) are TRANSLATE COCKPIT VIEW RIGHT and TRANSLATE COCKPIT VIEW LEFT.

But wouldn't that pan the view left and right? I believe that what he means is that he just wants to slide his backside to the left or right to align better with what is in front of him. I could be wrong though.

Yes, my mistake, what I should have said was the control actions you want are TRANSLATE COCKPIT VIEW RIGHT and TRANSLATE COCKPIT VIEW LEFT. I will edit my response above so not to mislead anyone.

Thanks,

Al

That's the one. I was sat here trying to think of what they called it in the sim. It took me a while to find it when I went looking for it because "translate" seemed like the wrong word for what they are trying to describe.

Then if the assignment for you is not the left and right arrows then as ark stated the correct assignment name in the keyboard assignments is indeed TRANSLATE COCKPIT VIEW LEFT/RIGHT. Just assign that to whatever button or key you want.

For me the left and right arrows move me left and right and the up and down arrows move me up and down. I think Alt + Up/Down move me backwards and forwards. I think.

And as I said you can adjust the speed at which one moves when you press these keys. The default was way to fast for me.
