MSFS Addon Linker problem, maybe

Featured Replies

I ran into an issue while trying a few different flights yesterday in the latest Beta but I don't think the Beta caused the issues I had. The day before I had finally set up a folder structure in my Addons folder, sorting all my Addons into different categories. Then yesterday every flight I tried with the 172 G1000 and the Baron, both usiing the NXI version of the G1000, had some weird entries in the flightplan that were over 10,000 miles from the proposed plan. I started looking into a cause this morning. When I pulled up the Addon Linker I noticed I now had a bunch of "ghost" links showing in the right window. I went back to the Addon Folder and they were not showing there. I undid my folder structuring but the "ghost" links were still showing but I did find that you could remove them with a right click and delete. After deleting the all I went back into MSFS and repeted a flight from yesterday and the issue seems to be resolved, at least there aren't any points in the route that shouldn't be there anymore. Anybody else run into something like this? It will be later today before I can test this anymore.

Never had a problem with the Addons Linker, except those created by myself. I would recommend to carefully check your folder structure setup.

Cheers, Ed

Happens when you move stuff from the folders referenced in Addons Linker without FIRST disabling them in Linker.

That is what I wondered. Thanks for confirming it for me.
