Geforce Experience "supported game required to use feature"

Featured Replies

With GForce Experience running, hotkey Alt F3 is supposed to bring up color and contrast options (Freestyle). But with MSFS running and I press Alt-F3 I get message "A supported game is required to use this feature". So I can't do anything with Geforce Experience, like setting contrast, clarity, and color, etc.

If you are unable to get that to work I recommend ReShade (free) which does the same thing. I use it in all my games and have been for years. Works perfectly in MSFS.

Comes with tons of filters (you can pick which ones you want to install.

Tip: choose the Legacy Filters.

have you tried a newer driver version?  I haven't yet tried the GeForce Experience Freestyle thing but everyone else seems to have it working so maybe check what other driver versions others are using?

The Alt F3 GeF Experience  hotkey used to work in my installed MSFS. Now it doesn't. I'm using the Beta version of MSFS, maybe that is a reason. But I don't think so.

Here's a video of someone using Alt F3:

I guess I could try the latest Nvidia driver.

I may have to try and get Reshade running.

This is somewhat off-topic, but I've noticed that the new version of GeForce Experience won't allow you to capture anything from YouTube TV. I previously captured scenes off YouTube TV with no problem. Elsewhere the video capture feature works perfectly. So this tweak was obviously made for copyright reasons.

Danka! Yep that cured the issue. Downloaded latest Nvidia driver and suddenly the Freestyle AltF3 key works! Seems odd that a slightly older version of Nvidia video driver would not allow it to run (it also refused to let Nvidia Control Panel open). But everything Nvidia is working fine again now.

I also downloaded Reshade, and will try to see what the legacy filters can do. No doubt Youtube will have help on this.

Can Reshade be used to reduce the fog ? Back in the days, developers put fog in the game to reduce the graphics intensity of the game BF1942 comes to mind. We could use reshade and other mods to get rid of the fog but it would also need more graphics power to do so.
