December 19, 20214 yr How do I change the settings so when I put the mouse cursor over like speed and move the scroll wheel, I can see the change in speed. I'm looking to put mouse cursor over the instrument, it tells me what it is and shows what I'm doing. Thanks John Snyder Jr

Thanks What the tooltip shows you and how the gauge reacts to the mouse is usually a function of the developer's coding. I would not normally expect that to be controlled by a user setting. December 19, 20214 yr Author I've watched YouTube video's of the auto throttle on Longitude, it shows speeds when you scroll on the speed button, mine does not. John Snyder Jr
December 19, 20214 yr I think there's a ring switch around the speed dial that switches between 2 settings. I don't recall what the 2 names are, but I think you'll want to switch that to the other setting and you'll be able to dial in speeds. Hope that helps. OK, I understand now what you are talking about. Go to Options > General Options >Accessibility and set COCKPIT INTERACTION SYSTEM to LOCK, and INSTRUMENT DESCRIPTION TOOLTIPS to INSTANT or DELAYED. Saved the changes. Then in the a/c, if you hold down the left mouse button while "on" the speed knob, you can change the speed with the mouse wheel, or the speed units with the right mouse button. Note that the speed control ring (switch) has to be in the Manual position. The speed you set also appears on the top of the speed tape on the PFD. Al Edited December 19, 20214 yr by ark

Just to be clear, below is what I see with the settings I described above if I put the mouse cursor on the "yellow" knob and hold down the left mouse button. If while doing this I also move the mouse wheel, the speed value changes. What do you see when doing this -- does the small knob turn yellow, etc? Al Edited December 19, 20214 yr by ark
December 19, 20214 yr Author Nope, doesn't turn yellow. Let me see if I can find what I'm looking for and screenshot it. Thanks John Snyder Jr
December 19, 20214 yr Author This is what I'm trying to achieve, when you move the mouse wheel the speed at the end changes. John Snyder Jr
December 19, 20214 yr I also posted a question like this, with no results. somewhere in the upgrades this was left out..I know i use to be able to do this!

What is the date on that video from where you got the screen shot? My guess would be it is fairly old and might predate the new tooltip "LOCK" option that I described above. That aside, if you tried the tooltip "Lock" option above, I don't know why you don't get the screenshot I posted where the knobs turn color, etc. Are you using the latest G3000 mod by WT? Another possibility might be some kind of conflict with your Community folder addons. Al
December 19, 20214 yr Author August 29, 2020, Yes using latest G3000. Let me make sure I have the Lock option installed. Ok, Lock option was on Legacy, not lock. I see the speed now like yours and move the mouse right and left to change it. Thanks for all your help! John John Snyder Jr
