December 29, 20214 yr I am considering the purchase of a new computer to dedicate to P3d...I understand the technicalities of the processors, etc...My question: The unit I am considering has a 560gb SSD and a 1TB HDD...Do the members of the forum think this will be sufficient for a P3d install? Is it possible to run the primary, basic program on the SSD and place the scenery on the HDD? I know that the basic P3d install will easily fit on a 560gb driver, but will the performance be adequate given the "split" drives? Thanks for any advice given... Steve 7 Miles NW of KGCK
December 29, 20214 yr I have P3D and most aircraft add-ons on SSD (2 of them), while most scenery on HDD Didn't notice any in-game performance hit, loading time is not magic, but I don't care if it's load in 2 sec. or 2 min.
December 29, 20214 yr Putting the scenery on the HDD is not a problem. You will see no in-game performance difference whether the scenery is on the SSD or the HDD.
