December 31, 20214 yr I've looked at a few videos on how to set up the TBM 930 "H" throttle using a Saitek TQ. I've been able to duplicate most of it except for moving the throttle into the fuel cutoff position. I can't seem to get past the low idle position. The videos I've been able to find predate SU7 so I am wondering if SU7 introduced some new challenges as far as the TBM throttle setup is concerned? Thx, Al

Worked ok on the Steam version using the mouse. I had my brakes parked. Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space. Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Al The Logitech has Detent "buttons" just like the Honeycomb ... you can build this in a similar way .. Edited December 31, 20214 yr by LesOReilly Les O'Reilly

Hello Les, I'm not sure what kind of Detent "buttons" my Saitek TQ has, but I do know you can divide up an axis range into sections with FSUIPC, so perhaps that's what you mean. I use FSUIPC7 for lots of different things and that's what I've been trying to use to set up the TBM 930 throttle. I did watch your TBM 930 | TCA TQ + Add On Configuration video. You certainly make informative videos! Al Edited January 1, 20224 yr by ark

Al Thanks, At the Bottom of the Logitech throttles when you click down into the detent it should trigger a Button event from the controller.. that is what I am talking about regarding a button... And that is very similar to how the Honeycomb works which I also did a video on and I am sure you can make FSUIPC work in a similar way.. Les O'Reilly

And that is very similar to how the Honeycomb works which I also did a video on and I am sure you can make FSUIPC work in a similar way.. Yes, that is exactly what I have been trying to do. I have tried options like using those detent "buttons" to trigger THROTTLE_DECR and THROTTLE_CUT through FSUIPC, which I have successfully used with other a/c to trigger reverse, feather, condition lever cutoff, etc. With the TBM it works to get the throttle into Reverse when the throttle is on the left, but it doesn't seem to work to get into Cutoff when the throttle is on the right even with those button assignments applied to both the FSUIPC throttle and prop axes. The best I have been able to do on the right is to get into the Lo Idle position. I can use the prop axis to move the TBM throttle between the left and right sides. Thx, Al Edited January 3, 20224 yr by ark

After today's big sim update I can't get my Saitek throttle lever to move the TMB throttle lever at all. I can move the TBM throttle left to right and back with the Saitek Prop lever. And FSUIPC has no trouble "seeing" the Saitek throttle lever, and the throttle lever seems to work fine in other a/c. Very strange. Did you notice any changes with your TBM throttle setup after today's sim update? Thanks, Al Edited January 6, 20224 yr by ark

I'll be interested to see if any other TBM users have seen a difference wrt the throttle. The Controls I used to make the Throttle work with SPAD next does still work .. However .... The Virtual Lever is not moving when commanded by the Throttle Axis via the external simconnect Variables... I can still use my Prop event to move it over and back across the h gate and when using the cutoff it will move the lever into cutoff and out of cuttoff.. I can move it then to High Idle ..with the Event that sets it there.. Then when I control the physical control and move it up and down the Engine does react and the power is working... I can also move into Reverse Range and it will go into reverse. Therefore the Throttle under the hood is reacting but the Virtual Cockpit Lever is no longer connect to the Variable... My theory is that like other switches in the cockpit they have now gone and connected the throttle to a B:Event and removed the link it had to the Axis data as well (much like the inertial separator and a few other switches after SU5) so ... they work.. but you just don't see it...
