January 2, 20224 yr I repeated the exact same flight as yesterday which had sim ending FPS degradation. Everything worked flawlessly today. Yesterday’s flight was the first time I had ever experienced that problem. Steve Canham MSFS 2024, FSHud, FSLTL, GSX Pro, Active Sky FS, Cabby (cabin announcements), Simbrief, Navigraph, WWACARS, PMDG CPU-Ryzen9 7800X, RAM-2x32GB DDR5, GPU-RTX4070Ti. Samsung 2TB SSD, Samsung 49" Odyssey Curved Screen
January 2, 20224 yr I had massive issues. Started out fine. An hour into the flight from DEN to ORD with the captain sim 777 this happened. I noticed panning was getting stuttery about 45 min in and buy an hour I had to just shut it down. I was averaging 15 FPS with massive stutters. Normally, I'm running right around 60 at cruise. Any time I panned there were second plus delays with massive stutters and fps falling into the single digits. The live weather was not working at any point today, skies were clear. AIG was running but turning off AIG and Live weather... that did nothing, frames stayed the same. I reverted to 466.77 drivers for my RTX 2070 S which fixed the screen tearing and pixelated light casting issues, but I don't think the driver revert is causing the issue. Given that people are experiencing the same I'll bet it's related to servers. This sim is broken. Edited January 2, 20224 yr by aniiran explain better

January 3, 20224 yr Author Yesterday I tried to start a flight with live weather off from the very beginning. The issue persisted. Massive FPS drop a few minutes after the launch making sim virtually unplayable. Today I'll try to test it with all online functionality switched off, but then again I can't possibly imagine flying this way even if it works. So yeah, it is broken.
January 3, 20224 yr Same thing happens to me with my last flight, it massive kicked in at around the TOD , after coming down near my landing Airport it realy was unplayable, stutters all over the place i do not know i had something like that before, i just try to Land to see what happens but it was a freaken stutterfest.. cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
January 3, 20224 yr At first I was unsure if it was that the flights I was trying were way longer than my usual schedule, but, yes, massive performance degradation is a thing now in FS. Stutterfest and eventually even a CTD. Edited January 3, 20224 yr by Aristoteles Iñigo Bildarratz
January 3, 20224 yr Author The weirdest thing in my case is that I don't get to perform any flight, longer or shorter anymore. Fps degradation starts at a very early stage, usually while I'm still sitting on the tarmac, not even moving. I wonder if the same thing happens to you guys, it's just that you have much more powerful rigs than my 3070 and you just don't realise it so fast, until it drops even more so it becomes visible on even stronger GPUs.

After started the Simulator i was goeing first to the Option menü and set my Live Weather from on to off. Than i did everthing else. I am not shure that this is the 100% Solution to the problem but worked for me with this flight. From now on Live Weather stays off ( for me ) until this weather thing is fixed by Asobo at some update. cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.
January 3, 20224 yr Author Asobo did implement some fix apparently. Well, it didn't help my case. I cleared my community folder, spawned with default Cessna at a default airport. Five minutes and that's it. Fps drop and there's nothing I can do about it. This is getting ridiculous. edit: I managed to capture the exact moment of dreaded fps drop occurrence. Oddly enough, it happens almost exactly at the same time after launch.https://vimeo.com/662072081 Edited January 3, 20224 yr by lemonid
August 19, 20232 yr Necro thread, but it shows up high enough on Google to maybe warrant a response. Updating FSUIPC fixed this issue for me, but not before downloading ISLC, which you should be able to find with a Google of ISLC with MSFS. Good luck if you see this in the future!
