January 5, 20224 yr Hello Team! With the latest version 1.0.4 in MSFS, the application shuts itself down almost as fast as you launch it. I thought that RAAS was auto-launched every time you launched MSFS but I am finding that unless I manually start RAAS from the menu app, the app does not auto start (maybe I misunderstood)??? In any case, once I launch it, it loads and it sings the runway and flaps flaps stuff but almost immediately it stops doing its thing and shuts itself down. Any ideas? When you start MSFS and you're in the cockpit, you need to manually launch RAAS (at least for now, I'm still deciding whether I want to give users the option to have it added to their EXE xml so it auto starts when MSFS starts). There are two ways to launch RAAS for now: 1. Via the Command Center 2. By clicking on the Desktop icon for RAAS As for your auto shutdown issue (which shouldn't happen), I'll let Manual respond. Question: Are you using Navigraph charts?...if so what version do you have?. Also, check the RAAS option "Detect scenery changes (automatically)" in settings window, is it checked or unchecked?. Cheers, Manuel

Detect scenery changes (automatically) is currently checked. The issue was also happening with it unchecked. If I do not check it, then RAAS displays the message that it did not detect an airport or a runway. At least with it checked, it scans and finds........most of the time, depending on the airport. For example, RAAS for some reason has a hard time finding KTKI which is my local airport and not a premium airport - weird. I do have Navigraph Datacenter, Charts (in sim), and Simlink. Not sure how to check the version of Charts in the sim - it does not show version number anywhere. Thanks for the help! Sincerely, Dennis D. The only way to know if it's inside the RAAS database is by going to the RAAS AppData directory located in: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\FS2Crew MSFS RAASPRO 1- Open the "RAAS_runway_data.csv" file with any text editor (notepad, Word, etc) or MS Excel. 2- Perform a text search for the airport's ICAO ID "KTKI", if you can't find anything, then it's likely its an encrypted airport. Also RAAS creates a text file named "encrypted_scenery_packages.txt", which is located on the same directory, and lists the paths of scenery that are actually encrypted. Problem is, if the airport is within an scenery area which includes many airports, then it might be difficult to spot or determine whetter or not its within a specific scenery folder/files. We are currently developing a tool that will let our users to create runway records on any airport (decrypted/encrypted) by directly feeding this information directly from the simulation into a CSV file per airport, this way we could create our own runways database and let users to share this information among them, to kinda workaround the encryption limitation imposed by MS. Cheers, Manuel
