RAAS Shutting itself down

Featured Replies

Hey Gang!

I have been successful at getting RAAS to recognize most of the airports I fly in and out of (except the premium/encrypted airports and for some reason my home airport KTKI which not sure why it would be encrypted, but seems to be).  The issue I am now facing is that RAAS either does not work or shuts itself down.  When I launch MSFS, it auto launches the app behind the scenes - that happens consistently.  Once I launch a flight, I launch RAAS from the MSFS menu and minimize it (this should be automated with MSFS launch).  After that, I usually don't hear from it anymore - it never yells the runway info or anything.  I control / enter and realize the app is running but RAAS is not - shuts itself down.  I have to admit that I also use AIG Traffic but this issue with RAAS happens whether I run AIG Traffic Controller or not.  Any ideas?  Maybe its the Navigraph gremlin and I just need to patiently wait for the fix?

Thanks

Please check your spam folder.

Also ensure you have the latest version installed via the Product Manager... triple check it pls.

A couple others reported that that solved it for them.

Hey Guys,

We'll be uploading an update between today and tommorrow, the fixes includes a small change in code which in """theory""" fix the auto shutdown, but can't confirm yet, until we release the update and you guys test it.

Cheers,

Manuel

Hello Manuel!  Need to further test, but I just finished doing a couple of circuits around KDFW and it worked beautifully (great runway and taxiway alerting) - in low visibility using real weather.  No shutdowns and even played nice with AIG Traffic Controller operating simultaneously.  BOOM

Dennis D. Müllert

So it's basicly confirmed that v1.0.8 fixes the auto shutdown issue then  🙂

Those are GREAT news!...it was driving me crazy!
