May 9, 200719 yr Anyone who confirms or denies this would probably be breaking their NDA agreement with Microsoft (which pretty much prevents them from acknowledging they are participants). It is very much a possibility that it wouldn't work, considering TileProxy is still a beta technology demonstration - but I have a hard time believing that *if* there were problems, that they would be impossible to fix. Since all TP really does is work with texture files on the fly, I would have a hard time believing that it wouldn't work right out of the box!Time will tell...TileProxy is a great diversion from all the talk about SP1 - now you go and put them both in the same thread. ;) BAH!-Greg
May 9, 200719 yr From what I've read somewhere (in the 1,000,000 TP posts here!!), TileProxy will not work with SP1 but, as has been mentioned, there's no reason why it won't in the future.

Just my personal feeling since TP has "turned on" FSX, so to speak.
May 10, 200719 yr Christian was added to B4 for just this purpose. The ball is in his court. ex-Aces Lead PM, FSX SP1 and SP2 ex-Intel LRB native title enablement, ex Intel Gaming and Graphics Samples PM now Graphics and Multicore PM in Visual Computing Software Enabling.
May 10, 200719 yr but I'll have to do a whopping 8 GB download for the US English RTM release. Maybe I'll just wait for the German language final version ;)
May 11, 200719 yr Download?? Ewww....We'll gladly take up a collection to have someone BURN and SHIP ya a DVD!!!! Gotta be possible.....who at ACES do we pay?
May 14, 200719 yr It took me a whole day (where did my Sunday go?), but it appears that I achieved full compatibility with the SP1. Tileproxy Beta 2 will have some problems (possible crashes) after the update. For some people it worked, but for me and others TileProxy would cause crashes. So expect a Beta 3 TileProxy version mainly as a "compatibility hotfix" soonThe loading of textures should be a bit more efficient with the new version. My program will know exactly which level of detail is required for each individual tile (before SP1 it was pure guesswork). So the amount of downloads from the servers can be a bit more "conservative" and the sceneries load faster.
