January 24, 20224 yr I've found that if you centre your rudder input slightly before the aircraft is pointing where you want it, it's fine. It's like the nosewheel needs time to return to centre which seems reasonable to me. Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

Yep, you have to get used to it but after a while it works like a charm. I have the rudder option of my joystick assigned as tiller (using the method that FBW described) and it works like a charm. It's a LOT better and more convenient (and more realistic) than having to use the rudder pedals for this. But if you drive just a little bit too fast and don't let go of the tiller in time you may indeed end up in the grass somewhere. 😉 I have to say... one of the hardest things to do in flight simming is to taxi patiently... LOL I often ended up taxiing at 50 kts or so because I WANT TO FLY, NOT TAXI!!! But this new tiller option forced me to also see this taxiing as a vital part of the simulation and my speeds are more realistic now. Although I still think 10 kts for a turn is too slow LOL 😉

I've got to try this tiller option. I thought it was only meant for people who have a dedicated hardware device for it. Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.
