May 12, 200719 yr Help! I tried 4 different locations and waited for 30 minutes per location. I have a 6mb cable connection. It downloads a couple of files and then it gives the following message Tileproxy.sys: FileInternalInformation? about a zillion times and then it downloads a couple of files again and then i get this messages again etc. I looked in the cached.tiles folder and it downloads about 1 mb at the time, between the messages. This way it will take much longer than what i read here in the threads. Something is clearly not working for me but what? No virusscanner, no firewall. This is with beta 2 of tileproxy. I have not tried version 1.This is my config file, (off course without the stars)I hope someone knows how to solve this problem. I'm eager to try Tileproxy. May 12, 200719 yr Hi M8CUT AND PASTE this into your file; edit from program bar not folder save and away you go.note set up for virtual earth as these tiles a little better for europeyou appear to have bits missing from the module line after mozilla!!!Rich
May 12, 200719 yr The "FilInternalInformation?" would likely be an AntiVirus software interfering with TileProxy. Try switching it off temporarily.
May 12, 200719 yr No virusscan or firewall running. Tried all the different configs including Virtual Earth. Tried changing Mozilla 4.0 to Mozilla 5.0 etc. all to no avail. It downloads files, i can see that, about 1 mb and then i get this messages again: Tileproxy.sys: FileInternalInformation? for a long time and then it downloads a couple of files again etc. Now what could this be? Am i the only one with this particular problem? I have a fairly clean system, not to much on it beside FSX and a couple of standard, widely used programs. May 13, 200719 yr Nope, you're not the only one with that problem. I have the same. Not running any AV and used enditall to close all background tasks. FileInternalInformation? persists.Sometimes it helps to save a flight and reload, but I only get the textures in close vicinity sharp (and even that only works sometimes). I haven't got live streaming during a flight to work at all. If things are really bad I get only black textures.Christian
May 13, 200719 yr There seem to be not so many people with this problem. What, if anything may have our pc's in common? Maybe antivirus? I use NOD32. I noticed that i cannot shut this down totally. The prog disappears from the statusbar but with the taskmanager i can still see nod32krn.exe running. I simply cannot shut it totally down, not even with Enditall or Fsautostart.Just hoping that we can figure this out. May 13, 200719 yr Author >>In what order are you starting FSX and Tileproxy? For me...Tileproxy (Beta 2 ) then FSX....pick a location known to have high res then FLY NOW.Tileproxy is connected to the simulator and attempts to fetch tiles always resulting in FAILED! at the end of the search string.Greghttp://www.fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg
May 14, 200719 yr Coudl you attach a screenshot of your DOS box that show the error messages please - that would help a great deal in diagnosing the issue.
May 14, 200719 yr No, not running NOD32 here, running avast instead and that can be removed from memory.Christian
