Few questions before buying

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I did not use FS2CREW since the Dash 8 in FSX. But I keep great memories of flying the Dash8 with FS2CREW! That’s why I am now on the edge of buying your software for A32NX to renew this experience.

I have a few questions though :

- I am using the Experimental version which currently offers the best LNAV experience. Is that a problem with FS2CREW?

- If I understand well, there is always a window for FS2CREW above the main MSFS window. I understand the size can be made very small if hidding not used informations. My concern is about a performance impact having this window opened because I noticed every time I pop up a cockpit screen or another MSFS window, I get a significant framerate drop. It seems the problem as been acknowledged by Asobo but does the FS2CREW window has such an impact or maybe it runs outside?

- Regarding the FS2CREW window, is there a key that can be used to toggle that window so I can hide it with the press of a button ( I do that with MSFS ATC Chatter, it is very handy) ?

- What do I really miss if only use Button mode ? Can I order the FO to engage AP or Track mode for exemple even I do not use the voice?

- If I use the replay function after landing, may it have bad effect on FS2CREW or I can proceed normally with after landing flow after watching the replay. Usually I do retract the spoilers only after watching the replay.

Here are my questions! Thanks for reading and advices.

Best regards,

Pierre

The first part of my video below should answer most of your questions, I use a second monitor, so all interactions are out of sight. Yes you can toggle the window. I also use FS2Crew Pushback and RAAS.

Hi Pierre,

I'm not sure about "replay mode".  I've personally never tried it.

Button Control can turn on the AP... but not LVAV.

It's like the old FS2Crew's in this sense.

Voice is naturally way more flexible.

Yes, you can minimize the panel.

Please watch the video above.

Hi,

I purchased FS2CREW for A32NX. I have not tried it yet.

Do I need Pushback Express if I want the ground services to connect automatically during the preflight / post flight events ?

Thanks,

Pierre

FS2Crew A32NX can auto connect ground services during pre-flight events.

Pushback Express is not required, but the two go hand in hand quite well.
