Airbus Cockpit Setup

Featured Replies

Currently I have a 34 in curved monitor on my desk with a desktop along with pedals, a hotas warthog throttle and stick.  My setup is for flight sim and for my 9x5 job and was looking at getting something specifically for flight sim.  I primarily fly the Airbus so I was wondering what I could look at to have a more dedicated home cockpit with the hardware that i have.  I don't know if this is the right forum but I'm not looking to build a "home cockpit".  I just want something a little more suited for flying the airbus.  Any recommendations on what I should be looking at?

To start with, what do you have?

Airbus stick for Hotas base, hotas warthog throttle, mounts for both, rudder pedals (Logitech), 34” curved display, flight sim pc, iPad.

Add a Yoke, Throttle Quadrant and another monitor and you would be well on your way depending how in depth you want to go.

How would adding a yoke help him with his request of "I just want something a little more suited for flying the airbus"?

If you add a tablet for the CDU and s touchscreen monitor for the overhead panel it looks and operates already much better:

(Yes mine is a boeing cockpit but also want to fly the Pmdg 737 when it is there 😉 )

Maybe what I am looking for is a new chair or something like this.  I just don't have 3 monitors, i would just need it for one.  The idea would be to be able to mount the stick on the left side, thrust lever on the right, and still be able to easily reach the mouse and kb without having to move around a lot.

My current chair has wheels so I can slide around a lot and my desk is pretty cluttered. Any suggestions or are these pretty much a waste of money?
