Default Beech 350i
The cool thing is that a G1000 panel on a KingAir is not some weird anomaly. There has been well over 750 of these done to KingAirs. So, it feels authentic... certainly moreso than the G3X default panel.... ugh! https://www.elliottaviation.com/avionics/g1000-retrofit/

Default Beech 350i
If you want a good FREE King Air 350 in FS2024 this is what you have to do. 1. Copy the default 350 from your FS2020 installation to FS2024. 2. Install only the Flight Dynamics mod by JayDee: https://flightsim.to/file/14952/king-air-350i-improvement-mod-jd 3. Install the G1000 cockpit conversion for the 350: https://flightsim.to/file/61143/king-air-350-g1000-cockpit-mod 4. Find a nice livery you like if you don't like the default: https://flightsim.to/liveries/beechcraft-king-air/ BONUS: If you want a bit more power, you can add the Blackhawk engine conversion (just the engine.ini file) from the Realism mod: https://flightsim.to/file/52687/asobo-king-air-350-realism-mod You can add that engine.ini file to the JayDee mod and it works just fine. (Back up the engine.ini in the mod if you want to revert.)

FS24 isn't doing well on Steam. Neither is FS20.
I meant that facetiously. Clearly, 2020 came like a lightning bolt out of the blue compared to FSX (or anything else that existed at that time.)

FS24 isn't doing well on Steam. Neither is FS20.
And that legacy was dead, i.e. there was NO flightsim at all being developed after FSX. It's not like they took a perfectly working simulator and turned it into a pile of garbage called MSFS 2020. You preferred FSX forever over what we got in 2020? Like what the old lady in When Harry Met Sally said... I want a bit of whatever your having.

Plan-G
No mention of compatibility with 2024. It only says MSFS. Given the hoops that LNM had to go through to read the database for 2024, I wonder if Plan-G has also managed to get that sorted. Anybody try it in 2024 yet?

Two More Florida Airport Enhancements
Hehe. I get asked this quite a bit at this point. Unfortunately, as a GA flyer, I am "all in" on 2024, and uninstalled 2020 as soon as 2024 was working fine for me. Once I did that, I updated my home airport enhancement, KSUA from 2020 to 2024, and decided to keep going, enhancing the airports I fly to in this area. So, no 2020 versions forthcoming, sorry. 🙃

Two More Florida Airport Enhancements
X59 Valkaria KOBE Okeechobee County Two more Florida airport enhancements are now available for download at flightsim.to X59 takes you further north on the east coast south of Melbourne. KOBE sits at the top of Lake Okeechobee and makes a great companion to KPHK at the southern end of the lake. I have now created enough of these that I have put together a map that shows their locations. This should be handy in case you are not familiar with the area, or if you would like to begin exploring flying in central and east Florida! The map has download links to all of the sceneries. Just click on the airport and you will zoom in and get a popup with a preview and download link. MSFS 2024 salasnet Airport Enhancements Map Coming soon! KISM Kissimmee Gateway ... "Central Florida's Airport of Choice". (Orlando Exec might disagree.) 😄

KCOI Merritt Island Airport Enhancement
Another Florida Airport Enhancement (and Fix this time!). This is a nice little airport that makes a great destination in the picturesque Space Coast area. https://flightsim.to/file/90300/kcoi-merritt-island-airport-enhancement Merritt Island Airport (KCOI) is a General Aviation airport located on Merritt Island, on the east coast of Florida, northwest of Patrick Space Force Base and close to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. Merrit Island needed terraforming and fixing, as the runway was unusable because of uneven terrain and glitches. (My plane did a full flip on the raised glitch when I tried to land there the first time! Like hitting a massive speed bump that was square!) These have been fixed, as well as a reduction and fix of the surrounding vegetation melted blobs that were everywhere. KCOI Merrit Island is flyable once again! - Completely terraformed and flattened the airport to remove all terrain glitches that made the airport unusable. - Removed most of the most egregious autogenerated melted blobs of vegetation around the airport. - Trees and vegetation around the airport have been cleaned up. - Replaced some default autogen buildings and hangars with more accurate ones. - Windsock placement has been fixed and inaccurate windsocks removed. - Tower beacon has been correctly placed. - Added static elements, fuel tanks, fencing, vehicles and other bits to make the airport feel like a real place. - The airport has been lit for night time with correct lights added. No sim installed, should I install MS2020 or get 2024?
- X26 Sebastian Municipal Airport Enhancement
Another fine collection of default objects! X26 Sebastian Municipal Airport Enhancements has been released at flightsim.to. As with all of my enhancements, this is created using default objects and making the airport look a bit more like the real thing. There were many little things to fix with X26, as the default was pretty off. Enjoy, and please do not hesitate to suggest improvements and/or point out things that need fixing. Thanks! X26 Sebastian Municipal Airport Enhancement Download I keep working my way up the eastern coast of Florida! With X26, I have now enhanced four GA airports of the eastern coast of Florida. KSUA, KFPR, KVRB and now X26. If you want to fly a bit west, KPHK and 2IS have also been enhanced. You can preview and get them all HERE. To finish your trip north up the east coast of Florida from KSUA, I highly recommend the freeware KMLB Melbourne airport, which is just north of X26. The very nicely done hand-crafted default Patrick Space Force Base scenery is also slightly north of that, and also makes a great destination or departure point.- reverted back to MSFS 2020
If you're going to post something like this, at least give it some FLAIR, or entertain us! Here, let me help you out. Everything is better as a Limerick. In all means still better than 2024 Was the Flight Simulator that came before. Graphics, Terrain, Planes, I could say, Were much better before in every way. I'll wait for updates to 2024, because everybody needs to know.- PMS 750 or TDS
I do not have a Navigraph subscription nor own the TDS, but I can almost certainly guarantee that a one month subscription of Navigraph will not download all of the maps and charts to your TDS unit after which you can then cancel the Navigraph subscription and you have access to everything in your TDS unit. The data footprint from the charts alone is probably quite a few gigabytes. Those are most likely streamed in on demand. Can the data component (the AIRAC cycle) be updated during your one month sub and then it stays in your TDS after you have canceled your subscription? I would fathom YES. But I sincerely doubt you would still have access to every Jeppesen chart on your TDS after you cancel your subscription. Again, I do not own either of those products, so my assumptions are purely based on logic and as an IT guy and flight simmer.- MSFS 2024 - SU1 new beta build available (1.3.24.0)
Remember, we don't get all of the stuff they are fixing in these patch notes. These are just to let us know they are working on things. The patch notes are not fully indicative of ALL of the work that is being done. And entry in the patch notes like "SDK", which does not give any details, could have entailed many, many little fixes. I know that I do this when summarizing things to folks who don't "need" to know all of the minutiae. If the database had a problem and I say I fixed the issues we were having, I don't list the individual things that I fixed which numbered in the dozens. I just tell them "I fixed the database".- Simulation Daily Interviews Jorg Neumann
I can vouch for this. I only use default assets in my enhancement sceneries, and some of the objects I used disappeared between 2020 and 2024... LOD problem. I had to rebuild anything I had done and swap out assets to ones that did not disappear at short lengths. When I am building things now with the default objects, I always have to "check" the draw distance of the default objects before placing them in the scenery. Most of the Gen_Hangars with numbers above 99 suffer from this, making them unusable at the moment for placing in sceneries. What good is a hangar building if it disappears 500 feet from you? Some items become blocky triangles if 100 feet away from them. I only have one default Golf Cart model I can use at the moment that retains its look as a golf cart at anything more than 50 ft of distance. (First world problem, I get it... but still annoying!)- Career Mode MSFS 2024...viable and working decently yet?
Because of regional pricing or a different outlet for Steam sales? i.e. Buy a key somewhere to use on Steam at a discount?- Career Mode MSFS 2024...viable and working decently yet?
Just a quick pedantic clarification. The game is a $70 game. That is entry price for the base game and gets you everything you need. I paid $70 for the Standard Edition. You might have gotten the model with all of the upgrades and bells and whistles, but those are all optional. So, the $200 figure is exclusive to just you and all who chose to pay that amount.- Just Checking in after 10+ years of absence ...
I know that anybody who has been at this for a while will agree that when MSFS 2020 came out, anybody who remembers planes made out of 12 polygons finally said... "yes, this is what I always dreamed of". For the first time ever, we had a full representation of the world as it exists in real life by default (sure, there was ortho and sat imagery and really good approximations by orbx before), but this was it. This was the holy grail we had all been waiting for. Is there room for improvement? Is everything perfect? Are there head-scratching moments often? Have we had major teething pains in 2020 and now 2024? Any logical analytical person would agree that it is not the end of the rainbow and everything is ponies and unicorns. Still, what we have now is the dream we all lived with for years and years and years. When I put it into that perspective... of what I had, and what I have... well, lets just say that I am happy with our current state of simulation, warts and all.- KVRB Vero Beach Regional Enhancement (2024)
Hi folks, allow me the vanity of engaging in a bit of shameless self-promotion. I just released my enhancements to KVRB Vero Beach Regional Aiport at flightsim.to. As with all of my enhancements, this is simply taking default objects and trying to make the airport look a bit more like the real thing. Correct windsock placement, remove things that aren't supposed to be there, trees, vegetation, buildings, etc., replace default auto-gen when a default item would look better, add buildings if they are missing, add lighting, add static bits, cars, etc. Vero is a bigger airport, and being the home of Piper has quite a bit of custom buildings that I simply cannot replicate using default objects. Still, the default was so bad that "something" had to be done about it. At least, it now looks a bit more like a real GA airport, and the Piper factory doesn't look like somebody plopped down a non-textured primitive in the game. Enjoy, and please do not hesitate to suggest improvements and/or point out things that need fixing. Thanks! KVRB Vero Beach Regional Enhancement Download With KVRB, I have now enhanced the three major GA airports of the Treasure Coast in Florida. KSUA, KFPR, KVRB. Along with my Florida Waterfixes, if you fly in this area, I think you will find it better than the default experience in 2024. You can preview and get them all HERE.- Sim Update 1 Beta (1.3.22.0) Release Notes - February 21, 20
That's a third party aircraft, so you should be able to get to the panel.cfg. If it is set to Black in the panel.cfg and its displaying White in the Sim, file a bug report?- Plan-G
I think that Plan-G uses Open Street Map, which LNM also uses. Would those masts and disused airfields not be something that Open Street Maps is showing you, not necessarily data that is being read from MSFS?- Plan-G
I think you might want to give up on Plan-G and switch to Little Nav Map. Anytime a website goes down with a new hosting message, that typically says that they have given it up. I had no idea Plan-G even still supported MSFS. You might be trying to stick with a dead product at this point.- Little Navmap 3.0.14 with MSFS 2024 support released
The evolution of the species to its current highest form: Final Approach Winplanner Flightplanner FSPlan98 FSNavigator (FSTramp) Super Flight Planner Nav3 FSBuild FS Commander Plan-G vRoute LNM (Little Nav Map)- Different aircraft qualities MSFS 2024
I did a comprehensive side by side comparison of the 2020 DA-62 and the 2024 DA-62 in MSFS 2024, and can say with 100% certainty that the 2024 version is a considerably better model and higher quality all-around. I do not think it is the same model as 2020, as there were clear differences in the quality of the curved elements, for example, and the textures were also superior in the 2024 version. This is an easy one that anybody who has 2020 can check. Just load up both versions in 2024 and see the difference yourself. The 2024 DA-62 also flies pretty good... unlike the absolute train-wreck that the DA-40 is. I also checked those models too, and the 2024 model, like the DA-62 is also better. But the 2024 DA-40 is unflyable, so I have the modded 2020 DA-40 installed. Too bad, because the new model IS nice.- Yow! Cessna 185F coming to MSFS 2024!
I'm almost a bit disappointed this is a Microsoft Carenado release. (But free is free, so never look a gift horse in the mouth). A full Carenado release would have probably included additional panel options (I have never been a fan of the cream panels), and their tablet letting you use the GTN 750 units in addition to the 430 or 530. - X26 Sebastian Municipal Airport Enhancement
