voice training not working

Featured Replies

The personal grammar training phrases inside the grammar helper is not working.

(error: click on adv. options and set microsoft speech recognizer 8.0)

The full training part does work. I won't get the error here and training works fine.

Why is that?

It seems that some phrases containing a colon, are screwing up the speech trainer in windows.

Some phrases (ClearanceDelivery>Readback>Clearance) start with "You can say: ..."

Don't know why some phrases start like this in the first place.

Can this be fixed asap?

I'm Dutch and the voice recognition especially has trouble interpreting  stuff like "fly the X departure with the X transition",

all of which start with "You can say:"  in the grammar helper. So no way I can train them. 😞

Anything in Gold in the Grammar Helper that does not start with "~" is informational or a hint.  Read the instruction and follow try to do what it says.

You might need to make a request or find a proper phrase in SayIt to use.

I still don't get it. There aren't any "~" in the grammar helper.

Is there a way to upload images on this forum to explain?

edit: btw I'm referring to the grammar helper dialog that appears after clicking  the "Grmr Help" button.  (not the ATC part in bottom of main screen)

some further explanation (can't see any option to upload image)

1.Click on button "Grmr Help" in main screen". In the grammar helper dialog choose

Controller Filter > Phrase Type > Phrases
ClearanceDelivery > Readback > Clearance

2. in "Phrases to Say" (yellow) click on first one.   "Cleared to <...> as filed"

In the "Say this" section (blue) it will start with "Cleared to ...."

3. in "Phrases to Say" (yellow) click on second one. "Cleared to <..> fly the..."

In the "Say this" section (blue) it will start with "You can say: Cleared to ...>

The colon is possibly messing up the windows speech training.

Also, I don't see the logic why the second phrase starts with "You can say:..."

@Dave-Pilot2ATC

Maybe my last post escaped your attention. Can you check it because I think there's a small bug in the grammar helper.

Thanks.

That's a limitation of the forum software...

What you can do is upload your image to something like https://imgbb.com, and then do "Insert image from URL"
