Pause/stutter every minute or so

@Chock if you would, you are the other side of the hills from me, is your sim behaving ok?

Generally speaking, yes. But having said that, I run it at 1920x1080, which looks okay to me and ensures it streams well and gets smooth, which I will take all day long over higher-resolution eye candy for a flight sim.

What I will say is that, whenever I build a PC, what I spend a good deal of time on making sure of, is that the bus speeds and throughput of data, for the motherboard, the RAM, the GPU and the CPU, are all well matched to complement one another so that I don't have one component in there which is faster than everything else and therefore occasionally causes the other components to have to play catch up.

In short, sometimes computers have one component which is a bit too good for everything else on that motherboard, and that can be what is behind a stutter that seems to have no explanation. So I would suggest that you try dropping the res, and see if that solves it, and if not, then try dropping the detail sliders and see if that does the trick, and so on with various parameters, because if one of these things sorts it out, the chances are good that there is a bottleneck somewhere between your various bits of hardware.

That is the head-scratcher here too. Sim working great several months ago, until I had the compulsory 85gb update glitch. As a result I deleted the sim from my PC, figuring I would let the next couple of big updates roll out before reinstalling it again. After a completely fresh, up to date install, I now have stutters, plus my controllers dropping out of service mid-flight. Other sims are performing beautifully, so I am very loathe to point the finger at my PC.

The last updates have definitely introduced problems for me. Oh, and wind gusts are now also conspicuous by their absence. Tempted to uninstall again for six months or so, and let a couple more updates slide under the bridge.
