Twin otter gps not loading except when moving the camera

Featured Replies

hi all,

So, I just updated the twin otter, but now the gps doesn't turn on except when I move my camera with right mouse button. The older versions worked?! I disabled all the addons I had except the twin otter.

Any tips what to look for? I googled but didn't find anything,

cheers

Victor

I'd report this to AeroSoft via their official forums!

I would try a complete reinstall and also empty your community folder, just to test.

Because everything works perfectly after the update for me and lots of others.

I am also running the G530 mod, latest version. This greatly improves the 2 Garmins.

really? That is weird, it is such a specific error. Okey, I'll try on the aerosoft forum, thanks! It seems to be linked to the bravo throttles

Well then disconnect the Bravo. That is the quick way to see if that is the problem.

Or like I do, every USB peripheral has a "No Controls" profile I made. I have about 10 different USB peripherals, some home made.

I also make generic simple profiles, that I then customize for each model and save with model name.

Conflicting switch settings like avionics master may be the problem.

The Bravo and Alpha caused lots of conflicts and strange behavior early on with FS2020 because a lot of switches are permanent on/off not intermittent.

yupp, I tried of course disabling all the USB peripherals, that is how I found out about the Bravo yoke :).

Thanks, I found the solution, 🙂

would you, I have another question. I tuned the freq of the VOR (SPL) in the gps, and it shows the DME, but the radio instruments (the arrow thing) doesn't come alive in the air.

I have set the GPS to VLOC but to no avail. Any tips?

Cheers!

how do you get the NAV instruments to work then? For me they don't respond , only if I remove the mod again.

hm, seems to be VOR dependent, only SPL in the Netherlands works, all the others don't with the mod.

I use Navigraph for my nav frequencies. And I do every once in a while find a VOR that only gives DME info. Some don't show up at all. But the major ones all seem to work, the ones on Victor airways. Your results may differ if using the default database.

Also bear in mind different VOR's have different ranges. And you also have to be at certain altitudes to get reception. Same with NDB's.

I am glad you found the problem.

aaah, I have a lot with only DME's around EHAM. That explains a lot. I also use Navigraph
