February 16, 20224 yr Hi all, I have an ocean crossing question. I wanted to prepare a flight to Seattle from Schiphol. Looking at the real flights, they fly high (north), over Greenland and over. However, Simbrief sends me lower, over the normal NAT's. is this all due to wind etc? Or is it a shortcoming of simbrief? cheers Victor Edited February 16, 20224 yr by Victoroos Victor Roos
February 16, 20224 yr In this case I think Simbrief takes stepclimbs into account. The altitude in the flightplan is probably the initial altitude. Menno i7-11700, 16GB, 1 TB SSD, 2 TB HDD, RTX 3070, Windows 11, MSFS 2020 DeLuxe, P3D 4.5

February 16, 20224 yr That seems very normal. I've made quite a few trips between Amsterdam and Chicago or Minneapolis and we always fly over the southern tip of Greenland. https://flightaware.com/analysis/route.rvt?origin=eham&destination=ksea Edited February 16, 20224 yr by Adrian123
