February 27, 20224 yr Up off KFMY, Page Field, Ft Myers with Stormy Skies. Pireps indicated plenty of breaks in the clouds when above 5,000. We cruised at 9,000 today. Over I-75 looking at the east side of the Miromar Lakes area. Angry Faces appear in the Clouds as we near the edge of the weather. Interstate 75 turns East from Naples toward Ft Lauderdale. Over Naples with a a view of the long beaches along the southwest Florida coast line. Passing Ten Thousand Island just south of Marco Island, which is the southern most resort area on the Florida gulf coast. East and south of this point are the vast Big Cypress and Everglades National Wildlife Preserves. View of the scattered atols and coral reefs in the gulf. Excellent menu with classic Key West/Gulf cusine, it's own great microbrew beers, and have a look at those aviation-unique ceiling fans. First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery is located in the heart of downtown Key West, Florida. First Flight is Well known for being the birthplace of Pan American World Airways, Pan-Am’s first tickets were sold out of this very building in 1927. Condos and resorts stretched around the island offer splindid views of the gulf. Next stop will be Cancun, Mexico.
