May 21, 200719 yr It's a known problem but, as far as I am aware, there isn't a known solution. Seeing as Ken Salter has been AWOL for months I doubt whether we ever will have a resolution.
May 21, 200719 yr Author I have the same thing but I just carry on as FSautostart still starts FSX. I always assumed that the "unable to allocate message" came because there may be some things that can't be re-allocated. IIRC I had a similar message in FS9.John John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
May 21, 200719 yr John...Your post means good news for me. This means that FSAutostart works with FSX. Now obviously, there will not be a list of services to shut down, since Mr. Salter wrote this long before Vista. Can you share a list of services you are shutting down in Vista? OMIGOSH... I just realized, you may be using XP. If so, possibly someone else can let me know if FSAutostart is working with Vista.Thank you,Steve
May 21, 200719 yr Author Sorry Pastorpilot but I didn't fall for the Vista trap I'm using XP Home. My copy of Vista lies on my "bits shelf" grounded for the time being. Blackviper did a great write up of XP services and their relevance perhaps the same holds true for VISTA. I haven't got Blackviper's site bookmarked you might like to try to Google it.John John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
