March 26, 20224 yr Hi all! I picked up the Cessna 414 today and am really liking it! Anyone else see an issue where the Autopilot button wont activate? The FD, HDG, NAV, BC, ant ALT ones work but not AP- Anyone able to assist? Jon Richardson Raleigh, NC

I think he's using the classic panel and I admit after using a digital autopilot - it would look like the buttons would all be push - but some are just indications. You need to actually press the AP rocker switch on the lower center pedestal below the throttles. In real life to climb or descend you'd just use the pitch wheel (also down under the throttles) and then press ALT when you want to hold altitude/level off. In the sim you need to use the tiny white circle to the immediate right of the altitude selection panel, press that to ARM (aka to capture the altitude). Then press ALT, then use the pitch wheel to change VS up or down to get to the selected altitude. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Also: the buttons on the AP Mode Selector panel: some work (HDG ALT FD etc), others don't. So it is not strange to think that the AP button should work, instead of just being an announciator light. But I found the AP button on the pedestal. I miss the manual for these kind of procedures.
