Has NVidia lost the plot?

Hugely expensive, a bit more powerful. And so huge and heavy that EVGA include an "eLeash" basically a cord that attaches to the roof of your case, a CRANE basically, to support the gigantic thing. 😁

I guess one good thing about it is that NVidia have used their common sense and placed all GDR6X chips on the GPU side instead of the badly cooled back side. Something they should have done with the RTX 3090 non Ti. 🙄

On sale in the UK for less than £2000 that`s cheaper than than some 3090s were a few weeks ago. And in stock.

Could this be yet another Nvidia money grab?  Techspot has their RTX 3090Ti review up.  I like the "eLeash description above... maybe Nvidia should be using that on their execs and marketing folks?😀

What's the point though? There will be 3090's cheaper, you can get an Asus 3090 at Overclockers.uk for £1700. why get a card that's so heavy that you need a "leash" to support it and not really that much of a performance improvement.

As I say, the only point I can see is the better DDR6X temp.

Why pay over 2 Grand for a GPU 3090 that`s now going to be worth less than a 1000 second hand soon as some have, and later this year will be outdated that`s why I will skip the 30 series, and test have shown the 3090 in flight sim is CPU limited even with  a 12900k, the 4080 will be more than enough for flight sim.

Personally, I am concerned about the power draw of the 4000 series. Just saw a YT video that many of the partner 4090 cards will require not one but two new 12 pin power connectors, each delivering 300 watts. Nothing about the 4080 yet, but I would imagine it would take a lot of power. The new AMD cards are supposed to be more power efficient (but not known how much yet). See

The one problem AMD has is they use higher clocks to achieve more performance that`s why in benchmarks they run hotter.

I was lucky. Manged to grab my FTW3 when they were a lot cheaper, closer to half that price.

You only paid a 1000 for a 3090 must be the cheapest buy in history, but we know some flight simmers will buy the 3090Ti because they want the fastest no matter what the cost.
