MSFS Hanging at start of flight (FBW A320)

Sorry for slight bump, but I've been getting this same issue on and off for weeks when trying to use the FBW A320. the blue loading line goes all the way across with the various messages superimposed on the ticker bar, then it just hangs. A small amount of HD activity noticeable on the PC and Task Manager shows CPU's at around 23% for FS with plenty of RAM to spare. But it never loads. With the default 737 or 747 I can usually be up and running in less than a minute.

Have to get out of MSFS with Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Guess it's time to bite the bullet and see if the wife will let me buy the PMDG 737 instead, switch to that for my short commercial flights.

Not sure this is your issue, but I had a similar problem and my solution:

PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3

I'll give that a try, flyblue. I had hoped to keep with the version supplied via MS/Asobo so as to automatically get updates but no point if it doesn't work. Thanks.

Edit: And the one from Asobo is still Version 0.6.1 so well behind where the project now is. I wonder why they're not coordinating the versions?

Further update. After uninstalling and reinstalling the version that Asobo provide, can confirm this continues to cause the hang up.

I've now successfully installed and can load the latest stable version (v0.8.1) direct from FBW.

However the whole situation highlights the issue with add on aircraft and any changes made by Asobo which then requires an update. One reason why I'm reluctant to part with @£60 for the PMDG 737. I had thought by Asobo coming to an agreement with FBW, this aircraft would be kept up to date as part of the built in updater, but it appears not.
