April 11, 20224 yr My new boxed dvd copy of Flight Sim standard has finally arrived from Amazon. I got this for a really good price but looking at the box, everything on the back is printed in German. I have looked at my past orders on Amazon and the listing now shows the dvd at nearly double the price and “German edition” Before I unseal it and start installation, can the language be changed or is it best to return it?

April 11, 20224 yr Administrators I just saw the Amazon add. It clearly stated that it was the German Edition. Looking at the reviews for it, even the German speaking people who bought it were the loudest complainers with only a 1 star review! April 12, 20224 yr You should be able to change the language in MSFS settings. Although not being my native language, I run the sim (MS Store version) in English. I see no reason why it should be different with the DVD version. The reason for it to be called "German version" is that the DVDs were produced by Aerosoft because MS saw no market for DVDs. AFAIK Aerosoft sold them in Europe only, hence the higher price in the US.
April 12, 20224 yr Same for me. I own the german boxed version and switched to english soon after installation (despite being native german speaker). To the OP, maybe you can even switch to english already during installation. If you need to know I can try to find it out for you....
