Getting LNM working on Linux (Proton)
-Belga- replied to kabaww's topic in Little Navmap | Little Navconnect | Little Logbook Support Forum@kabaww Thanks for sharing your solution. I got LNM working fine, the only thing is that LNM apparently can't find the scenery library database. Unlike Windows, I can't load the scenery library since no simulator is found. Is that normal or an error?

Addons Linker for Linux? Made one :)
I'd love to see that app going public. However it's possible to get the original AddonsLinker running under Linux. At least the most important features are working as intended.

MSFS 2024 on CachyOS (Linux) Discussion. Working for me.
@JonathanCA huge "Thank you" for the tipp to use protontricks-launch command to install apps. I used it to install the Navigraph hub. Now Navigraph can "see" the sim, however if I try to install the AIRAC cycle I get the following message: "Operation failed. System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (87): Invalid Parameter." Do you have any idea how to fix that?

MSFS 2024 on CachyOS (Linux) Discussion. Working for me.
Did someone find a way update AIRAC data via Navigraph? I can install Navigraph Hub but it won't detect the sim.

AAO and Linux
So after fiddeling around for some days I finally seem to have AAO running under Linux. The menu issue was solved rather quickly (seemed to be an issue with the fonts). Getting AAO to connect to the sim was trickier and it was pure incident I found a solution. Initially I had the same problem with FSUIPC 7. When starting FSUIPC with the sim, it couldn't "see" the sim running. But when auto-launching FSUIPC via the exe.xml it would connect without any problem. So I edited the exe.xml to have AAO auto-started with MSFS. And lo and behold: AAO connected instantly.wwww Perhaps (and probably) there's a more elegant solution, but as long as it works I'm fine with my way.

AAO and Linux
Hi, I recently switched from Windows to Linux (Fedora distro) and am still grasping the ropes. Step by step I'm trying to get my flight sim setup up and running. Yesterday I installed AAO with Wine and ran into two problems. The program itself starts and seems to run fine, except that I can't see the menus (they are there but the text is not readable) and AAO is not connecting to MSFS24 (Steam version). Dependencies (Dotnet 4.8 and VCredist2022) are installed via my Wine prefix, so that shouldn't be the reason. Does anyone have experience with running AAO under Linux?

Aerosoft CRJ Update Preview Video
Hans Hartmann just said in another livestream that he talked to Emanuel (A330Driver) about the bugs he found. The launch will be postponed by a week to fix these.

New Nvidia Drivers 572.83
I recommend using NVCleanstall. With this app you can choose which components to install and which not. You can get rid of all unnecessary parts of the package, especially the NVidia app. Here's a short tutorial how to use the app.

Chaseplane
There won't be a Tobii fix in SU 1, at least there is none in the Beta until now.

You can simply use your settings from MSFS 2020. Just multiply them by 100 and put them in "AxisSensitivity". The axis in MSFS 2020 are the same in MSFS 2024, so if you have set "Eye vs head tracking ratio" set to 0.85 in MSFS 2020, it will be AxisSensitivy="85" in AxisName="0" in the MSFS 2024 xml-file. Do that with all Axis and Tobii will work the same in 2024 as in 2020.

BlackSquare A36 in SU1 Beta2.. works!
Unfortunately I deleted MSFS2020 before reading this. Could anyone provide me with a link to download the MSFS2020 G36? I'd rather not like to reinstall 2020 just to copy the folder...

Did anyone here manage to get their hands on a 5090?
-Belga- replied to regis9's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcThere are reports that at least in one store in Germany the video cards were sold via leaked links before the official launch time, so normal users didn't have a chance to get one.

5080 reviews are out
-Belga- replied to nyfirefly11's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI think NVidia will launch an 24GB 5080, called 5080Ti oder 5080 Super, in due time, perhaps in late 2025 or early 2026. There ist just too much space left between the 5080 and 5090.

BS TBM and TDS GTN Not Working
Is your TDS GTN up-to-date? You need to have at least V 1.0.1.3. Run it and you can install an additional gauge (V 2.0.0) for MSFS2024. The old gauge file (V 1.0.18) will only work with MSFS2020.
-
For Bonanza lovers..
Same here. BKSQ Bonanza itself is running fine but TDS GTNXi screen stays black. Edit: Found the culprit. I used the old TDS GPS Manager (V 1.0.1.1). You need to download V 1.0.1.3 from your TDS account page. Run it and you can install an additional gauge (V 2.0.0) for MSFS2024. The old gauge file (V 1.0.18) will only work with MSFS2020.

Nvidia driver update issue. Any ideas?
Well, to each his own. I like to keep my PC as clean as possible from unnecessary (at least to me) software parts like NVidia USB-C driver (only needed if you have a monitor connected via USB-c cable), ShadowPlay (I don't record or stream gaming sessions) or GeForce Experience. If your system runs well and you're happy, that's fine. I was referring to those who have problems that might be caused by parts of the software they actually don't need.

Nvidia driver update issue. Any ideas?
Both do not close security leaks or fix bugs in NVidia apps.

Nvidia driver update issue. Any ideas?
Well, beside optimizations for new games, updates often fix bugs or security leaks. That's reason enough for me to always install the latest drivers.

Nvidia driver update issue. Any ideas?
I'm puzzled by all the problems you guys have with the NVidia drivers. I'm always using the latest drivers as soon as they're released and never had any issues with installing or stability. The reason for this might be that I'm using NVCleanstall to update my drivers. This very handy app let's you choose which parts of the NVidia package to install and which to omit. By that, I got rid of all the completely unnecessary parts, e.g. "Quadro View", "Telemetry", "USB-C driver" etc. Usually I only install the driver itself, PhysX (since I also play other games) and HD Audio via HDMI (because of my VR headset) so there are less components that could cause trouble. Here is a short tutorial about the basic usage of NVCleanstall:
