Simulation Daily Asks Aerosoft Their Plans MSFS 2024

Kicks off the interview by asking what happened to the A330!

Wow... im surprised at how unprepared the aerosoft rep was for that interview. As if they cornered him on his lunch break and decided to have an impromptu interview.

Way too "off the cuff" and casual for a company that needs to present a more defined and professional image especially after such a bad launch.

I watched as much as I could without losing interest, it was really tough to watch. I didn't think the questions were very effective at driving the convo, but the Aerosoft employee (been there 2 years or less from the sounds of it) didn't really answer them either.

Overall, spent about 7 minutes and realized I wasn't getting anything from it...

Aerosoft, now a company more interested in Bus Simulators.  Evidenced by how unprepared they were for a discussion about flight simulator, and their latest aircraft release.

Aerosoft is one of the biggest jokes in flight sim today. I really don't know why people are even are interested in this company as it stands right now.

Aerosoft have since lost their reputation as one of the leading addon developers for flight sim and their recent products are quite evident with this theory. It is all going downhill in my opinion - look at the various recent releases, all most all products are either unfinished or heavily bugged with no intention from developers to fix the problem. Personally I stopped purchasing anything developed by Aerosoft long time ago.

What about Jo Erlend Sund's airports? Surely they are exceptions?

Aerosoft is basically out of the market. They dont bring Addons that people talk about. They have no real capable developing competence at the moment for the flight sim sector. Not even support for their products life cycles. So what. Lets focus on the other better developers and publishers.

Aren't some of the airport add-ons from Aerosoft decent though? I don't own any of their airport add-ons, but some people seem to like their airport add-ons - in the 5 favorite airport thread, I see people listing some Aerosoft airports:

lol the A330 Neo is still coming. After the CEO disaster. Who in the right mind will get it? Even if it’s better, the stunt they pulled with CEO made me completely loose faith. I spend money on the plane that was basically a scam

What's sad about this is that after Microsoft announced Flight Simulator 2020, Aerosoft loudly declared they were going all in on the platform for aircraft development, dropping P3D and Xplane as MSFS was the future.  We got a CRJ in 2021, Twin Otter in Jan 2022 that was pulled a year later and then in late 2024 a disappointing A330. Given the enthusiasm of their announcement back then, the results 5 years later is very disappointing. There is a business lesson in this, don't be overconfident in your position, there is fresh blood out there ready to come in and dethrone you.

It’s really sad…my beloved CRJ is a big pile of unrealized potential with 3 years of empty statements about an update for 2020 and zero word about ever being compatible with 24. How does a company with apparent marketing ties to MSFS at launch botch the biggest revitalization of the entire flight sim genre in history???

Simple.  Socialism.

I wouldn't trust news from either party in that video anyway.  A complete waste of time from what are now irrelevant parties.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
