  1. @kabaww Thanks for sharing your solution. I got LNM working fine, the only thing is that LNM apparently can't find the scenery library database. Unlike Windows, I can't load the scenery library since no simulator is found. Is that normal or an error?
  2. I'd love to see that app going public. However it's possible to get the original AddonsLinker running under Linux. At least the most important features are working as intended.
  3. @JonathanCA huge "Thank you" for the tipp to use protontricks-launch command to install apps. I used it to install the Navigraph hub. Now Navigraph can "see" the sim, however if I try to install the AIRAC cycle I get the following message: "Operation failed. System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (87): Invalid Parameter." Do you have any idea how to fix that?
  4. Did someone find a way update AIRAC data via Navigraph? I can install Navigraph Hub but it won't detect the sim.
  5. So after fiddeling around for some days I finally seem to have AAO running under Linux. The menu issue was solved rather quickly (seemed to be an issue with the fonts). Getting AAO to connect to the sim was trickier and it was pure incident I found a solution. Initially I had the same problem with FSUIPC 7. When starting FSUIPC with the sim, it couldn't "see" the sim running. But when auto-launching FSUIPC via the exe.xml it would connect without any problem. So I edited the exe.xml to have AAO auto-started with MSFS. And lo and behold: AAO connected instantly.wwww Perhaps (and probably) there's a more elegant solution, but as long as it works I'm fine with my way.
  6. Hi, I recently switched from Windows to Linux (Fedora distro) and am still grasping the ropes. Step by step I'm trying to get my flight sim setup up and running. Yesterday I installed AAO with Wine and ran into two problems. The program itself starts and seems to run fine, except that I can't see the menus (they are there but the text is not readable) and AAO is not connecting to MSFS24 (Steam version). Dependencies (Dotnet 4.8 and VCredist2022) are installed via my Wine prefix, so that shouldn't be the reason. Does anyone have experience with running AAO under Linux?
  7. Hans Hartmann just said in another livestream that he talked to Emanuel (A330Driver) about the bugs he found. The launch will be postponed by a week to fix these.
  8. From the Aerosoft Discord channel: "Hello @Flight Aircraft , finally we have some great news for you: One of the first Airliner Add-Ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Aerosoft CRJ, is getting a major overhaul and a great update with new features, many changes and some exciting news for you in version 2 of the very popular regional jet. Today we would like to announce the release date, which flight simulator it will be for and how you can get it in terms of price for new customers and upgrade for existing Aerosoft CRJ version 1 owners. First things first. We will release the Aerosoft CRJ v2 on the 25th of March 2025. It will be available as version 2 and will be compatible with MSFS2020 and MSFS2024! Featuring a completely redesigned cabin, revised flight model, full implementation of Navigraph charts and much more, v2 expands on the original aircraft with new features, bug fixes and enhanced customisation. A full changelog will be provided with the release. In addition, the CRJ will finally be available on the Xbox for both simulators. This means full compatibility in both simulators on all platforms. The CRJ v2 will be available as a complete bundle including the following aircraft variants: CRJ 550 CRJ 700 CRJ 900 CRJ 1000 The price for the complete bundle will be 49,99€ (incl. VAT). If you already own the CRJ v1, no matter which version, you will get this upgrade including all aircraft variants for free! I will leave you with this great news and also attach a great trailer and some screenshots of the interior. We are very excited about this update/release and many streamers, YouTubers and other influencers will be getting their hands on it over the weekend to give you all the details starting next week."
  9. I recommend using NVCleanstall. With this app you can choose which components to install and which not. You can get rid of all unnecessary parts of the package, especially the NVidia app. Here's a short tutorial how to use the app.
  10. Me too, that's why I referred to Monty Python. 🙂
  11. I smell some Monty Python humor in the air...
  12. I have it mounted under my 45" curved 21:9 monitor and it's working flawlessly.
  13. There won't be a Tobii fix in SU 1, at least there is none in the Beta until now.
  14. You can simply use your settings from MSFS 2020. Just multiply them by 100 and put them in "AxisSensitivity". The axis in MSFS 2020 are the same in MSFS 2024, so if you have set "Eye vs head tracking ratio" set to 0.85 in MSFS 2020, it will be AxisSensitivy="85" in AxisName="0" in the MSFS 2024 xml-file. Do that with all Axis and Tobii will work the same in 2024 as in 2020.
  15. Actually he's with Aerosoft for less than a year. He's also one of the hosts of a German flight sim podcast and contributor to http://www.cruiselevel.de.
