As well as a bunch on YT.

The consensus is that it’s disappointing, especially compared to the 5090 and 4080/4080 super.

For MSFS, it’s slightly ahead or behind the 7900 XTX in 4K, which I just bought. I was hoping the 5080 might be worth returning the XTX, but doesn’t seem so.

I’m guessing that a 5080 Super with more VRAM (if they launch one) will be a better bet.

Turn MFG on and the XTX will be miles behind 😉 The whole 5000 series seems to be relying mostly on those AI tricks, bummer. I was hoping for a 24GB 5080, maybe now, due to the bad reviews, it will come sooner than later.

I think NVidia will launch an 24GB 5080, called 5080Ti oder 5080 Super, in due time, perhaps in late 2025 or early 2026. There ist just too much space left between the 5080 and 5090.
